be wary of cahsbacks, mobiles.co.uk didn't honour, and declined a £30 cashback for my contract sale.

Voted hot as cheapest price I've seen for this phone. Don't know if I would get one though, I'll need to spend a bit more time on mobot to see if it's worth it; unless someone here can say what is the best £100 entry level android smartphone out of the Galaxy Y, Sanfran II and Huawei Ascend all listed on HDUK? I'm guessing the Huawei as it is the newest of the 3 so should get a few more updates?

I was going to post this yesterday, but decided not to after the mixed reviews on GSMarena. Hot from me on price, but my fondness for android phones is rapidly disappearing after some poor phones.

      Can anyone recommend this?

I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Y through e2save on a contract with Talkmobile and purchased it through Topcashback as was posted here back in March. Frankly the whole process has been a bit of a nightmare...purchase didn't track on Topcashback, e2save difficult to deal with, Talkmobile difficult to deal with etc etc.

In the end I'll get my cashback but in hindsight I'd have saved myself a lot of grief by just buying a smartphone on ebay and going with a £5/month package with Tesco or whoever.

      Nevermind, live and learn.

The number of MP has very little to do with the quality of the picture, it is more about the quality of the optics, lens and firmware. That's not to say this isn't a rubbish camera, just that you can't put it down to a single number in the spec sheet.

I got this phone for my retired mother. She had not used a smart phone or touch screen before.
From completely hating it, she has come around and has become rather savvy, with the use of the phones many features.
Navigation, Music , Radio, Internet facilities......

I think good starter android phone, once experienced I guess you'd want something more powerful.

If its a quality issue then I probably wouldn't be shopping at the bottom end of the market.

Voted hot due to price for this phone. But I'd recommend people spend a little more and get a better screen. 320x480 is really the price/perf sweetspot and you only need to spend 10-20 quid more. Money well spend in my book.

I like it, 2xbetter than my san fran although technically the screen is better res, I think it is a very good phone for the money, better value than the £100 i paid for the sanfran

So true. Do people really buy a phone for the camera?

Just been to the vodafone shop in Cardiff and it was £70 (without £10 credit) so this is better. Ordered for my son - ta.

My 3.2 megapixel camera produces better pictures than my old 5 megapixel phone. Quality of the lens makes the difference.
