Plus a minimum of £3.59 delivery (unless you spend over £50)
#3
Cheaper at Amazon inc postage, if you are just after the drive.

£42.58 and prob faster delivery.

£42.58 delivered at Amazon, as opposed to £43.58 delivered at Ebuyer.

It's not complicated arithmetic. There is a difference of a pound between this deal and the price Amazon sell it at. Therefore this isn't a hot deal. It doesn't cost £39.99 but more because the op didn't originally mention p&p in the title.

:)

Edited By: Glix on Nov 02, 2010 10:40: Not so cold now :)

Ideal if you are purchasing other items from ebuyer and want this, but if you just want the drive on this site most people will want the cheapest deal and save a quid.

Well, they'd know about it it if they were looking at HUKD a couple of days ago, or did a quick search, as it was posted then (price was 41p more then, but still cheaper delivered than Ebuyer, delivered).

I agree with Loopie, though, if you are buying other stuff from Ebuyer and can get free delivery, then it makes more sense.

PS. Credit to op for amending price now to include delivery charge.

Its hot for me as I have other stuff to get from ebuyer.

I'm planning to upgrade my Topfield PVR using one of these http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12537

IDE/SATA adaptors

Any difference between 32m v 64m cache? Can one see any performance benefits?

I was about to say this is a cracking price for those purchasing more then one item, and lets be honest, when buying computer items you often are. Heat added.

it's frequently cheaper at scan (god i've said this so many times) on their today only.

yes you have to sign up to avforums, but you do get free next day delivery and that costs 10 quid at ebuyer.

woah nice deal

Yup - today is £38.76
#16
if you order this hard drive with other items you won't have to pay the delivery cost. i'll be building my own pc soon, so i'll get this at £39.99 from ebuyer.

also scan requires you to post at a forum to get free delivery, then it shouldn't be considered a factor when arguing prices, because most people won't go through that to get the item.
#17
That's not correct luckily - you don't have to make a single post to get free delivery at scan, so not really a hassle. Everyone has their own circumstances though, as you said, you might be buying other things at ebuyer so more sense to go there - just nice to be aware of all the offers out there.

p.s. if you're building your own PC, and don't mind a few weeks of building I'm sure you'll find your components cheap at Scan - I've done the same and bought my bits off Today only over the space of 2-3 weeks, the rotation of items means you can get most bits at quite good deals if you keep your eye on and know the right prices.

Would ebuyer be a 1 year guarantee and Amazon be a 3 year guarantee?, have to check into these guarantee things since Pc world let me down this week on a failed F1 drive!.

Yes, but if you set up an avforums account, you get free delivery as has been pointed out. You DON'T need to have posted anything to get free delivery. I hardly think it's a lot of hassle to do that, but if you feel it is, fair enough, but I like to have choose my components between ebuyer/scan depending on the best offer.

The free del at Scan is pretty good - normally next day, and normally get told it's arrival within an hour time slot with regular updates.

all these comments about the deal and not one about the actual product, how is that supposed to help anyone!?!

I got me 2 of these from Ebuyer as i figured i would just use the other as a backup so got free delivery too. Lovely drive, super fast and very quiet.

it helps people by saving them money - kinda the point of this site in case you hadn't noticed. i'm sure most people know how good this hard drive is, i've got one myself.
#23
Arghhhhhhhh! Why didn't I check Scan before ordering. :(

Ordered it from Amazon instead. Oh well emailed them and told them not happy will see what they say.
#24
I would have though this was a better deal... chances are you'll need another drive at some point so may as well bite the bullet now...

any good for a Sky HD upgrade?

Agree. Anyone who does a search will see that this has been the case for months and that buying two of them is even cheaper per drive as its a today only regular. As fpr the guy who said of a deal nobody has ever heard of then just check the forums or use the search function if you wna to find the latest deals.
#28
If you want two of these: https://secure.scan.co.uk/aspnet/Shop/AddToBasket.aspx?WebProductId=1359702

Today only price of £81.05 delivered (or £76.37 if you have free delivery)... That's £40.53 each if you pay delivery, £38.19 each if you get free delivery...

These Samsung F3 1Tb are just tumbling....

As is the Samsung F4EG 2Tb, £68.14 on today only...(plus £3.99+vat if you need to pay that).
#29
Suggest buying the 1.5TB at just under £50. 50% more storage for 25% more in price.
#30
just ordered one from scan, as mentioned free delivery and their service is excellent - delivery in 2-3 days, parcel tracking, can insure components for a meager amount to get replacements if you screw up installation (good for less confident builders, though you could always claim it didn't work out of the box) and their price is always among the best.

HD prices will be lower by christmas but this is probably the best harddrive on the market atm and the f4eg (ecogreen, not to be confused with old f4) is only slightly slower for weight and power savings

oh, and don't get any 1.5tb samsung drives, there is a 1.5tb f4eg on the way but it'll likely be the older f2 you've seen thats the 'green' power saving model, it's pretty slow

39.99 @ ebuyer now. very interesting price now, thinking to click "buy".
