Awesome TV, going to order one next Friday! :)
This is the cheapest price on the internet by a fair bit, and is from a reliable company.

Use the code 26SAMR88 to get £10 off which makes the price £388!

pixmania dont have a very good rep tho
and you're only saving a few pence, much better than dealing with a company based abroad (France)

What? Cold for 91p? About 0.25% of the price of the TV? I think thats a small enough difference to ignore!

2.5% quidco cashback also with the link = £9.50.

You should be able to get some quidco on it too. I tend to use rpoints cos I don't really shop enough to justify the Quidco fee, but Link does 2% back for rpoints.

Im new to this site and a bit stupid when it comes to technology. Im looking for a tv that can be wall mounted or maybe on a bracket in corner so i can turn it (its for my new conservatory) depending on where i have sofa. So can u help me!!..... is this a really good deal then for this size, can it be wall mounted?? should i hold off to see if i can get better or go for this one. Also does anyone know when offer ends? THANKS XX
#12
The discount code I found just says "limited offer" - no idea how long it will last. You can easily wall-mount this set yes! :)

You're not really going to get better than this set (26"ers) for this price!
#13
Thanks for that, show other half tomorrow:thumbsup: sorry for being such a div!!

Great Set, Good Price.

HOT

Great set this but a better deal for it is if you're a Costco member or know someone who has a membership and will buy on your behalf. In store at Costco it is £399 but comes with a 3 year parts and labour guarantee (as do all their electrical items).

I realise I'm probably being ignorant, but isn't £399ish 32 inch territory rather than 26 inch? Why is everyone going gaga over a 26 inch at nearly £400? Am I missing something?
(I haven't voted by the way, yet, as I am hoping to be put right in my misunderstanding) :)

People are voting becasue of the price for this hot off the press model.

Its very easy to get caught up in this "but you can get a bigger size for a little bit more" argument but some people are looking for a specific size of tv. They may want a 26" at the best price as it fits better in the bedroom or lounge etc

That said I'm voting cold as a couple of places are doing this for around £400 - so its not hot - warm at best.
#19
be warned the speakers on these Samsung 26" are krap!

very dissapointd on the audio side but equally impressed on the pic side!

It's a quality branded LCD - that's why it's a good deal.

Isnt the 32" R87 only £450?

whats new on the R88 models?
#25
i have the 32" and it is great!
#26
Nothing is new on the R88 models, because it is in fact the R87......R88 is the code reference awarded to Dixons, Currys, PCWorld, The Link and Pixmania, and as most of you are probably aware all of the aforementioned companies come under the same ownership. Why they have this code particular to them I do not know. Dont get me wrong its a great TV, bought the LE26R87BDX back in August from TribalUK for £369 delivered (their prices may have changed since then) but I got the impression this was posted as a bang up to date model.

SUPERB DEAL -fact, this come fifth out of sixteen top brand latest models in octobers WHICH magazine as the best 26" out there. there test are extremely comprehensive .
the only thing that appears to let it down is the sound , which samsung are renown for anyway, still nothing a cheap surround kit wont put wright, and if it had a better sound im sure this model would be in the top 2 or 3.but this is some £ 350 cheaper than the model that which put in first place.
gets excellent reviews on picture quality and GET THIS - it came TOPS for pc use . so its a great tv , great for hi def gaming and even a great pc monitor . ( has a pc port on the back along with 2 hdmi and 2 scart )
so yes sub £400 is well a bargain .
also forgot to say it a looks dead sexy piece of kit in black gloss. it just oooooozzzzes quality
#29
Actually, the R88 IS different to the R87. The R88 has a blue LED on the power button, and has a 3rd HDMI input on the side. :)

And yes, you can get the 32" for £70ish more, but keep in mind some people do want a specific size like me :)

If I had the cash I'd buy this.
#31
Looks a good deal. There is not alot in it price wise between this and a 32 inch tv, but if you need a 26 inch tv for a particular room this excellent.
Voted hot.
#32
i have this tv purchased from costco last month for £414 its a great piece of kit but sound is a bit poor i needed a 26" as a 32" would have been just too big for my room.
#33
Those of you with a Costco card can pick this up for £398 with a 3 year warranty, at Costco obviously.
#34
Does £398 include VAT and don't the link do extra cover then?

I almost ordered the 23" version last night, which was around £350 delivered, so glad I didn't now.

Went to currys earlier and had a look at it, the 23" version is £500 there but the picture looks stunning compared to others I've seen.

Voted hot and am very tempted to order now...can you use quidco for it though as I thought it was for just mobiles?
#35
Nice offer, really good TV. I have an older mode of it (R74 or R72 I think). 26" last year was about £579.99 around about this time, but I had to take the plunge at some point.

HOT - well worth it

Yes the costco price includes VAT, most of the TV's in there have a free 3 year warranty. The Link includes the standard 12 month manufacturer warranty only.

Hi all
Is this Samsung model made in a larger version 32 or 37 inch screen?

If not can anyone tell me what the best quality TV bargain to go for at the mo is, in a larger size .

thanks

I think that's either on the current model, or the model before. My 26" Samsung I got over 12 months ago. If the sound is too loud the speakers vibrate and it distorts the sound at times. If I'm watching a movie or something that requires the TV to be turned up loud I have surround speakers. The TV has a brilliant picture and I bet the sound has been sorted out on the new model.

Well thought I'd order it and they're now out of stock!! :-(
