While I appreciate this was originally posted over 3 weeks ago, it has been out of stock since then and has only just come back in at this price.

Full-HD video recording: The U10 is the ideal solution if you're looking for ultimate portability and ease of use in a full HD camcorder. The U10 offers full-HD video recording with 1920x1080 resolution. The U10's 1/2.3 inch CMOS sensor gives the ability to capture impressive 10 mega-pixel digital still images, all of which can be reviewed on the camcorder's clear, two-inch LCD screen.

Ultra-compact design: At 56mm x 103mm x 15.5mm, and weighing just 95g including the battery, the U10 is ultra-compact with an ergonomic design that breaks free of the traditional look and feel of pocket-sized camcorders. Its sleek frame is accentuated by a wave-design that angles the body of the camcorder at seven degrees, allowing users to grip the camcorder more comfortably, reducing stress on the wrist or arm. This same ergonomic design philosophy is also found in the R10 and C10 camcorders, which both feature Samsung's unique Active Angle Lens.

Intelli-studio: The U10 features Samsung's play-edit-sharing program called intelli-studio so you can edit or share your video without access to a PC. When you do connect, the camcorder's built-in intelli-studio program allows you to turn any computer into a mobile studio, giving you the ability to edit and play your video without having to install supporting software.

One-touch "upload" button: Sharing is also simplified as the intelli-studio program takes the hassle out of uploading content to popular video sharing websites. A one-touch "upload" button provides a direct connection to YouTube, so footage can be online within seconds of shooting.

On-camera editing: In addition, the camcorders also allow basic on-camera editing, including the ability to split video files. The animated thumbnail feature simplifies searching for video clips. Every video clip is represented by a small thumbnail on the LCD screen which provides a short playback when highlighted by the user.

I have one, they are superb, if the files weren't so big I'd upload one for you to see. We use ours weekly and its the best gadget I've bought for some time.
I admit they are not quite so good indoors as they are outdoors (where it excels), but nowhere near as bad as some people (who don't own one) will no doubt try to point out. The sound is also brilliant - the best by far out of all the flash pocket camcorders as it has 3 mics
At this price its a bit of a no brainer really I paid £100 which was cheap just before christmas - but do yourself a favour and buy a 1TB external drive to store your clips on as your pc will fill up VERY quickly if you use it alot @ full hd, dual layer dvds are no good as they aren't big enough and the quality suffers from any compression to dvd or youtube. I was considering getting that Aldi video streamer as it looks like it would do a grand job http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/588304/medion-hd-media-streamer-59-99-aldi?p=7667631#post7667631
The supplied software is very basic - I use Windows live movie maker which seems as good as anything else I've used for just a basic burn to dvd if you want a more professional video suite take a look at adobe premiere elements.

"The U10’s controls aren’t very well thought out either. Instead of buttons, you touch your thumb on a touchpad, so rather than continuously hitting a button to zoom, adding judder to your filming, you just hold it. A good idea, but it doesn’t work every time, so you do end up pressing over and over again, defeating the aim.

The U10’s 1080p video quality is very good, but not really noticeably better than the Flip Ultra HD’s 720p. And sharing vids and pics to YouTube, Flickr or via email is a doddle, using the bundled software. But an HD camcorder with no HDMI port? What?

This is a bit of a disappointment. On paper it looks cracking, with higher resolution video, stills, and it’s cheaper than the Flip. But these camcorders are about usability rather than pure power, and on that the U10 falls down."

You can find good and bad reviews for anything. This is a lot cheaper than the flip (which also has good & bad reviews). I would say until you actually use an item yourself seems pointless posting a bad 3rd party report, could equally post a good 3rd party report.

I am not saying this is a good or bad deal but you do appear to be hijacking a lot of other threads for alternatives pointing them back to this thread.

I posted this alternative on 2 deals for camcorders that were posted around the same time, as I thought it would be good for people to compare prices and abilities.

I see that 1 of the deals was yours (which you also (in your words) 'hijack' on the other deal), and then you try to discourage people on this deal

We can all scour the web looking for the worst possible review....
Here's one that gives it 5 stars out of 5 - reviews are thoughts of 1 person who is testing an item, that doesn't mean its shared by everyone
http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/camcorders/274321/samsung-hmx-u10
and there are plenty more positive ones, as there are not so positive - a thing you find with all reviews.

Also the Kodak is not full HD (this one is), has 2 x digital zoom (this has 4) and 1.6Mpix (this has 10Mpix), but if you want to save £10...

Well said. My point exactly.

TIP: be careful with ordering from dabs, they only send goods out in the makers box,
which often cannot take the battering it gets when sent via HDNL couriers.
It's then VERY difficult to get resolved.
