You can get a wireless adaptor which connects to the rear speakers and a power supply.

uses bletooth or something. not truely wireless but better than wires everywhere.

Highly recommended from me. Got this to go with my Samsung TV as well.

Took me ages how to find out how to turn the sub down though!

Why don't you check for the cheapest prices before you post? These are not hot deals, or any deal, when it's cheaper elsewhere

Totally agree when you're aware of another cheaper price - I wasn't aware until just pointed out  The OP in that post could have found the dvd was cheaper in seconds by looking on www.find-dvd.co.uk - hi-fi equipment prices change by the hour, and daily, and there's no sure way of keeping up with price changes like you can dvds. Would have thought that was obvious even to you

Not my fault if you can't comprehend plain English. Anyway, why don't you stop commenting on my posts and post some deals of your own. This is off-topic and noone really cares, they want to see the deals.

I need wireless rear surrounds as I can't run cables round the room. In other's opinion which is better - this unit with the wireless unit or the Panasonic SCPT467?
The Panasonic can be had with 10% less and Quidco bringing it down to £252.

you can get the rear adaptor for £40-£50. the SCPT467 is more powerful how do the rear speakers self power though? The sammy is a beautiful machine but the panny has extras comin out its ears. depends what your after. could your neighbours handle 1000 watts?

Wish I'd seen the panny before gettin the sony. you live and learn I suppose!

The rear speakers are supplied by a mains powered unit similar to the Samsung one. The connection between the sender on the main unit and the rear unit is wireless. Not so much wireless as lesswire - this doesn't bother me as the cabling and rear unit will be out of view.
With regard to the unit, I'll have to run it at relatively low volume, especially as the sub will be next to the adjoining wall!
Another issue for me is the depth of the main unit as it will need to fit into a cabinet that isn't very deep.
Reviews suggest the sound is excellent, however speaker cable may be an issue for some.
