i live by samsung tv's. never ever had a problem with one, and brilliant picture and sound. for 250 for a 32" its an absolute bargain. It wont be 1080p, but on this size unless you sit with your nose against the screen you wont be able to tell the difference!

what is the point in this richersounds website when you can only buy the items in store. It seems all pointless to me.

This TV is only available in store! Not on line!!
The price is great, but only if you can find one!
If anyone on HUKD can find one of these in store please post the address of the store . I for one would be interested in just how many of these exist :o)

Not exactly true. We have a samsung TV as well as a Panasonic. IQ on the Panasonic is tons better than the Samsung we have. Both are less than a year old.

In the end it comes down to each individual model and not just the brand.

This TV listed here is a very basic TV. If it meets one's needs then it is a very good bargain but if the lacking features are needed then price is not relevant.

I bought one in Sheffield today for £249. I was in the store 45 minutes after opening and the guy reckoned they had 10 left in stock when I purchased mine.
Bargain for a 32 inch Samsung.
#13
Got it today, had to stand in the queue for 20 min though, but it was worth it, great tv!

Bought one from Waitrose (John Lewis) a couple of weeks ago for £299.99 (Pricematch with Richer Sounds in Cheltenham then) inc. 5 yr G'tee. This is a totally excellent TV, picture quality on normal and HD is very good
#18
pretty sure it's not 1080p (doesn't make too much difference, just making people aware)

It's 1080p and the sound is weak, I have this model paid £280 4 months back from Very.co.uk.
Picture is very good on my Xbox 360 but at £250 I would forgive the sound being a little tinney.

It quite clearly states it's not so don't know what tv you have but it can't be this one?

just bought one 2 days before xmas couldnt wait and lost 30£ now, well the staff didnt mention nothing about sale on this tv....another things is the picture out of the box its not really good the colors are not right and its too darky as well i'am posting the right setting for u guys, its has also 1080/p whcih is 24fps like the orginal movie
also i'am not sure about response time the guy in store told me its 8ms well i saw in some website 6ms
my sister has 4 years old dell lcd tv 37" 720p and image is awsome when watched with hd box compare to this samsung its less sharper....

tested with mkv movies using mvix ultio , drak night imax edtion 720p, transformers revenge of the fallen imax edition 720p, fifth elements 720p , star trek 2009 720p
image is awsome in imax version full screen very detailed without black bars
well with 32" tv and almost all movies being in 16/9 we are losing half of the size of the screen.
but you can enjoy DISTRICT 9 in full screen

the settings:

Mode: Movie
Backlight 6
Contrast 80
Brightness 50
Sharpness 10
Colour 45
Tint G44/R56

Black Tone:Off
Dynamic Contrast Off
Gamma -1
White Balance:
R-Offset 37 G-Offset 18 B-Offset 34
R-Gain 36 G-Gain 24 B-Gain 12
Flesh -2
Edge Enhancement: Off

Colour Tone: Warm2
Turn Off Digital NR

saving you time and money the difference between 1080p and 720p is noticable only in 55-inch or larger screen and projectors

In the past week I bought 2 samsungs this one mentioned in this thread and another one 40 inch 530. And they both look Sh**t with movie mode on, they are dark and colors grey-ish. But on dynamic mode or mormal mode, backlight set to 10, less contrast, more brightness and more colors they both look brilliant. Oh, and darks set to low.

Worth having a little play with he settings.
Also recommend a good play with the sound, including equalizer...

Enjoy. :-)

awesome find bought this model for £400 from pixmania about 6 months ago so great find :D
#29
Samsung TV's are a huge step up from any of the cheap generic brands like Toshiba or Hitachi.
#30
Dunno why expired, this is probably still available in store.

I went instore to buy one of these, the salesman said he had plenty left as they havent been selling. Then said i bet either today or tomorrow you will phone me with problems. Especially about the audio, stating it was very tinny and they were two tiny 2 Watt speakers. and that is wasnt good for gaming ect due to the responce time and refresh rate. Also said the actual panel is 1-2 years old.

It wasnt for myself anyhow, it was a gift for someone for their bedroom for general freeview viewing - but what he said put me off and i didnt buy one. Just wondering if i should bite the bullet and get it. Wouldnt look good though if the sound was rubbish.
