nice little tv, would go well in my bedroom.

The prices on these TVs seem to be dropping all the time. Similar price at Amazon but a quick Google reveals Dixons are undercutting at £319.99. So for me, an okay deal but not the cheapest right now.

Great TV. Got mine for £350 from John Lewis with 5 year guarantee which I think is better.
#5
any offers for a wall mount?
#6
Is this 1080p?

Is this 1080p?

if you can't tell by the specs then do you really need it to be or do you just wanna tell your mates it is 1080p?

Clue: Resolution 1366 x 768

Sorry, I did read that just after I had posted that question, believe it or not I do know what 1080p actually is, or I have some vague idea at least anyway.

It matters if it's 1080p if you plan on sitting 4 foot from the screen, lol.

I have a KDL40D3000 which is 720p but mine's actually properly set up, which is more important than the screen resolution.

GF's parents were in the market for a set recently and this is by far the best out there at the moment for its price point, and even above I'd say.

Black levels are astonishing, on a black screen this panel blends in with the bezel surrounding it.

This TV was £299 at Currys/dixons.com at christmas (and there were 10% off voucher on dixons.com on boxing so could get it for £269) so this price def not the cheapest i've seen, but the prices did subsequently go up post christmas to £399, and prices have been falling again since.

- def agree with that one, my parents have this tv, it broke last month and only had it since last September, they did £200's worth of work on it to get it fixed...thankfully under manufacturers warranty. But it is a nice TV.

poor price, has been much cheaper, still is cheaper at dixons and richer sounds £319 from both on Sat.

Well I think the thing is that I have a 1080i Samsung at the moment and I wouldn't really want to downgrade.

I can definitely notice the difference between 720p and 1080i on my 360.

£319 at richer sounds, and dont forget the warranty will only be £32 for 5 years. The service and warranty at richer sounds is the best ive ever had. A couple of years ago we had a pixel go fixed magenta, which was most annoying. Phoned richer under 5 year warranty (set was 2 years old) and expected a fight, as most dealers would say that this is within acceptable spec. Not richer ! their engineer fitted a new panel without me even asking, let alone argueing. Now I will only buy from them, for a great price and just as important, peace of mind.

As has been pointed out this is not the best price in the market, do a few searches using Google or similar and you'll find a choice of retailers for around £10 less than this.
Good product for a quality entry level HD LCD TV but Cold for me on price.
#17
I posted this deal over a month ago and it was the best price around then.

I'm guessing the other retailers have caught up and slashed their prices also.
#18
what exactly are those great specs? its a 2 year old 720p tv. cold.
#19
If it wasn't for the 720p, I would definitely buy one.

is you're current TV true 1080i, or is it just able to accept a 1080i signal?

i'm pretty sure 1080p doesn't make much of a difference on a TV this size.

but i have to say, 1080i does show text/button icons better on my 360 than 720p - anyone know the reasoning for this?
TV is 1366x768 (IIRC)
