As I'm sure you already know this is 1366x768 not 1080p but as OP said 1920x1080 will fit, but interpolated as in 1080i not p (1080p said above). personally I would spend the £50 more for the

LG 32LH4000 (USB could be modded to play .mkv files)
http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-tv/lg/32lh4000/lg-32lh40starstar#

or Toshiba 32LV665
http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-tv/toshiba/regza-32lv665/tosh-32lv665

More likely the LG than the Toshiba, as some would say £50 more is alot of money ( 1/6th the price more ) and Samsung do make nicer display's. :p

Edit: Oh £40 more then, now £310 :)

Bought one last week for £319.99 from Amazon, so good price.
Only disappointment i have is that it does not change the screen ratio when changing channels that are broadcast on 4:3 instead of 16:9.
I am on Virgin cable and have it connected through HDMI, so when you watch a channel not supported, you have to manually change the screen ratio, so the images don't seem stretched.
I have been through all the settings, so if anyway has also experienced it, i would be happy to hear.
But otherwise, it is a great TV.

It does. It should be set up to do that automatically, but there is a setting where you can correct it anyway if it's not doing it. I can't remember where but it's something to do with the default format.

Actually...if I remember rightly you have to have something set to 4:3. If you were changing settings during installation you might have changed it to 16:9 thinking that was correct.

Thanks for that, but have you actually tried that on this specific model?
I know it changes manually, but i have tried setting the Tv to Auto wide, also screen fit, and the only ones left are 4:3 and 16:9,
and on the v+box it is set on 16:9.

I've got this model yeah, mine does it all automatically. I mentioned about the 4:3/16:9 thing because I was playing with the settings and thought "4:3..that can't be right" so I changed it, then the TV stopped doing the screen ratios properly.

Just had a look at my picture settings...I've got it on 'Auto Wide' and '4:3'. If that doesn't work maybe the problem is at the source end?

Thanks! I have set the V+ Box to 1080 instead of what the engineer set at 1080 wide, and the Tv on screen fit and now it is perfect. Great!
It was driving me crazy and i have read a many forum comments and they have not solved this problem, now I am very happy with this Tv
Thanks again,
