If I bought and received this TV 6 days ago, but without the dvd player, can I call them and redeem it now? I'm not too bothered cause I've got it hooked to the pc, but a free dvd player is always welcome.

if you have all the original packaging you could probably take it back, get a refund, then buy the bundled deal. but you know what, a DVD player doesn't cost much and maybe you should simply accept that there's always going to be another deal and maybe you'll get the best, maybe you won't, maybe you'll hold out and then miss out.

I'm looking to just buy the tv, do you think they would give me the tv for less than the £349?
I actually wanna buy 2 off them.
Does anyone know where they sell these cheaper so I could try and get them to price match?
Thanks for your help in advance

just a word of warning, my 40" samsung lcd which is not even 3 years old took 45 minutes to switch on this morning and it turns out thousands of people have the same problem (capacitors bulging or something like that) just check that this model is not one of those known to have the same issue - I have had a pop at samsung but got the usual "outside the warranty" he did assure me though that the later models should not be affected. Its still a lot of money to spend if your only going to get 2 years out of it! so may pay to do some research

You must either have a dodgy one or it is setup wrong. I've got the B450 from JohnLewis (although bought a while ago so I didn't get the free dvd player) and the picture quality is great! It is especially good with Standard Def Freeview content, a lot better than many other 32inch LCD TVs. Samsungs 32 inch tv's consistently get good picture reviews online.

I'd try getting it set up correctly, many blu-rays and dvd's have setup videos you can use to adjust colour, brightness etc.

Did you read the post??

"Samsung LE32B450C4W LCD HD Ready Digital Television, 32 Inch. COMES WITH 5 YEAR GUARANTEE AND FREE SAMSUNG DVD PLAYER WORTH 49.95"

It comes with a 5 year guarantee from John Lewis. If you get 3 years in with this TV and it breaks John Lewis will repair or replace it (depending on the exact wording of the guarantee).

My previous experience of their guarantees is 100%, they have great customer service. So buy this TV and be sure you have one that will work for 5 years :).

(PS. I bought one before this promotion for exactly that reason, good TV and I know I will have no need to replace it for at least 5 years)

Not in the Nottingham store, the sales guy said it wasn't on his current list of promotions! I asked him to scan the tickets for both products to double check but he said there was no point.

I ended up buying the Toshiba Regza from Richer Sounds with the 5 year warranty added for £329

I am thinking of buying one of these tvs and the dvd would be a nice bonus, my local JL has not got this offer tryin to find out which stores have.....help :)

Do you think the 5 year warranty is worth £40 if you can buy it with standard warranty for £310? I dont really care too much about the free dvd player.

Yes, I'd say £10 a year is well worth it and so will you if the telly breaks down after a year.
If you don't want the dvd player you could always sell it on ebay for maybe £25

Agree....5 year guarantee from JL is honoured...my dad's TV gave up at 4.5 years and they came out, took it away, sorted it...brought it back! All with a smile! :-D

Yes, if you email your local store via the John Lewis website. Say you are looking at buying 2 of this model and believe that their Bristol brach is selling for £299 each, would they possibly price match. Its likely they will honour it and give you reservation number. And yes 5 years and delivery included
