had bad experiences with pixmania.

nice price, but the only thing i'd spend in their shops is a penny!

Wouldn't touch that crap French firm with a barge pole. £349 here: http://www.froogle.richersounds.com/product/lcd-tv/samsung/le32b530/sams-le32b530

Does it matter where their HQ is based? The website seems as legit. People have problems with all types of companies sooner or later (as opposed to being consistently ****) . Everyone seems to like the Hut but I got screwed on usb sticks there.

I can vouch for bad/good experiences.
Bought a 60gb ipod when they first came out (which cost a small fortune) and they wouldn't give me a discount they promised - had load of hassle trying to contact them on their pre historic email system. On the other hand, I bought a m8 a sony surround and digital camera system and had no probs at all..... you pays yer money and take yer chances me thinks.

Their ratings have certainly gone up (they used be 2 / 5 on Google), but still pretty mixed.

I've had very bad experiences with them myself and wouldn't use them again. Looks like they might be working to improve things though.

As with all companies, a true measure is how they perform when things go wrong, Pixmania take gold in having the very worst aftersales support I've ever encountered. It's worse than non-existant.

Pixmania are part of Dixons along with Currys and Curry Digital. I have bought 2 TV from them in the last 3 months with no problems both were delivered by Currys

It mentions USB? Does it have a USB port, and what advantage would this be? Could I play say a movie thats on a USB stick directly to TV? what formats will it support, if any? thanks

I bought a Panasonic DMR-E85H from pixmania years ago. It was the best price by far and the paperwork said I had a 2 year guarantee instead of 1 year like the uk. Never had a problem with it though. Still working great today so the guarantee was never tested. Lets face it though you'd be far better off buying from Richer Sounds. A 5 year guarantee (extra four years) is only 10% of the purchase price. £35 is superb value for that. I would say an extended warranty is a necessity because if a panel fails thats it, its won't be economic to fix out of guarantee.

Will John Lewis price match this or the richer sounds one?

What is John Lewis's / Richer Sounds delivery times like? Fairly prompt? long waits?

My LG tv has usb port and I can plug external HHD up to 1TB and use it to play music, videos and pictures

I've been waiting for a 32 Full HD, 37 maybe, under £350 for ages.

I mean 32 is still pretty big depending on how far away you sit, and having lived in place with a 50inch I'm not sure you gain much. 40 would be nice I guess.

This seems like an ideal deal - I think this is the first full hd 32inch screen ive seen and it has the usb and 3 hdmi which is cool. I'd buy from RS too but I don't think they price match online deals only those in shop.

Q: So if currys deliver does that mean they will have this pixmania deal too?

John Lewis is parcelforce (up to 5 days) - they match bricks & mortar stores (ie Richer sounds)

That seems ideal for me, hopefully this one can do the same, but no word on what file types it can play if so.

Parents bought their LG plasma from them - absolute cowboys. Delivered by two Brummie guys in a white van with their card details on the receipt attached to the box. A week after they had a few thousand removed from said card in fraud.
