Samsung LE32C530 32" 1080p £285.00 from Dixons

I couldn't see this listed as cheaply elsewhere on Hot Deals, but apologies if this is a duplicate post.

Enter the discount voucher DIXONS5 at checkout and the price will drop from £299 to £285 with free delivery on certain days.

I believe the voucher expires on 1-Feb - so be quick if you're interested.

that's a bold claim and not really true :p

The 530 is a good all rounder, does suffer from a bit of component lottery(not all are as good as each other etc), but it really excels itself for gaming - probably the lowest input lag of any LCD.
So if your wanting to hook up a PC/console this is an absolute steal !
Very hot !

Are you sure about it playing all the file formats?
I thought that it was the c580 model which could play USB devices, could be wrong though, I was thinking of getting this telly or the 580 version.

580 is a better pannel and does give a great picture. No lottery on the board/processor as they are al lthe same(very good), but can come with a crappy panel if your unlucky. (check AV forums thread for better info)
Slightly more input lag, and (sadly) it up scales 24P (blueray) to 50hz.
Better looking too.

The 550 is a 530c in a 580c case if anyone was wondering btw

Looks like the 550 has an extra HDMI and support DNLA ... wish someone had posted that deal before I bought now :( still, I've got a WD Live box which this is getting plugged into- so I don't really have any immediate need for those additional features.

What about returning it to Amazon, who pays or do they pick it up? As well as will Samsung provide 1 year warranty if I buy used TV, but form Amazon not a private selelr?
#24
Don't suppose it supports Freeview HD at this price does it?

nope, thats the 580

Amazon are amazing for returning TVs, if you aren't satisfied with the set you have two options. Either send it back yourself or get them Amazon to pick it up free of charge.

I just checked the samsung site and yes only the 32c580 does DVB-T2:
http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/lcd-tv/LE32C580J1KXXU/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail

whereas the 530 doesn't:
http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/lcd-tv/LE32C530F1WXXU/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail

but still a cracking TV for the price.

now, if only the 32c6xxx were down to this price :-)

£279.95 at Richer Sounds.

£279.95 at Richer Sounds.

or £307 with 5 years warrenty, a better option i would say!
#31
Or you could go to Currys for a price match against the richer sounds price of £279.99 and an extra ten percent off and get it for £251.99

most currys wont price match richer sounds but their price match is 10% of the difference so it works out at 279.99 - 7 (10% of the £70 difference)

Very tempted
