Excellent TV with very favourable reviews

Samsung LE32C530 32" LCD Full HD 1080p TVThe Samsung LE32C530 32” LCD TV is a stylish and affordable Full HD 32 inch LCD television with a range of special features to make your viewing a pleasurable experience.

The Full HD screen is enhanced by Samsung's own Wide Colour Enhancer technology. Unique 3D colour-stretching technology saturates each pixel until it achieves the true colour and luminosity intended by nature.

Three HDMI connectors allow the LE32C530 LCD television to handle a range of inputs, including games consoles, Blu-ray players, satellite receivers, camcorders and more. A dedicated game mode changes settings to offer the best and sharpest possible picture for your console, giving a great edge in one-player or online multiplayer games.

Also built in to the Samsung LE32C530 is a USB socket to allow you to access MP3s, JPEG pictures or camcorder videos. Just plug in a USB memory stick or other USB device and you can enjoy all of your music, home movies and holiday snaps from the comfort of your sofa.

The LE32C530 onboard Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) networking solution allows easy connection and control of your home entertainment system, by being able to integrate AV receivers, Blu-ray players and home theatre audio units and switch on or off, play and record at the touch of a button.

Samsung's Planet First promise ensures that your Samsung LE32C530 32” LCD TV has been developed in an environmentally conscious way throughout the design and building process.

Guys does anyone know if this is going to be any good for hardcore gaming? People say that 50hz isn't good enough. Any truth in this?
#7
Good Price
But - My standard comment on Samsung TVs
Make sure you get a warranty - they are prone to screen problems

Games play at 60hz on it (or so the on screen display say so), it's fine. I play both 360 and PS3 on this TV without a problem.

Purchased!, hope quidco tracks I or won't be happy.

Whats the best wall bracket for this one?

Good price, shame no FreeviewHD, if only they were doing this tosh at same price as Amazon (£300), with cashback that WOULD be a corker. Still hot from me

As an alternative you could look at this, it was another I considered buying.

Sony KDL-32EX403U 32" LCD Full HD 1080p / Freeview HD / Internet TV (£301.92 with VAT & Quidco/TCB Cashback)

hi just been on site and its sayig you have to pick up from store.thanks
#27
Also, the quidco/topcashback T&Cs state that the 14.89% cashback "excludes reserve and collect" so the £254 prices is effectively not available.

Bummer, cos I would have been sorely tempted by this at that price.

HD TV Test review

"In our input lag and subjective gaming tests, the Samsung LE32C530 performed unbelievably well, lagging by only 14ms! Needless to say, this figure makes input lag completely irrelevant on this LCD TV, making it one of the best we’ve ever seen for fast, fluid gaming enjoyment."

By the way anyone who has this TV have you found some good settings for it? I've tweaked mine a lot based on stuff found on the internet but I'm still not entirely happy.

Just got it today, Its got many good features I like, It looks high quality, the remote works well, the price was right and it has a built in media player that plays MKV and accepts NFTS drives. Also speakers are nice and loud.

The bad points are the in built freeview unit or upscaler is not the best, given Sky HD though a HDMI port is the best way to use the TV. Some HD material through the media player also looks very good. Another bad point is although the unit accepts mkv HD files, it won't play MT2S which is a shame.

It plays .TS though. Not sure how different .MT2S are, a simple rename might work.

Indeed, however I purchased from RicherSounds for £289.95, (with 10% off 'VIP' voucher) based solely on the reviews here and loopie's mention of it playing MKV's.

I have to say, this is one awesome looking TV, superb picture, EXTREMELY good sound for a set this size and price, accepts an external hard drive being attached, and whereas the GUI maybe not up to the standards of an Xbox running XBMC, it's certainly far better than the old fashioned 13 or so characters display that XviD compatible DVD players used to have.

Highest resolution I've run through it so far is 1280x720 .mkv, played it seamlessly, and looked absolutely stunning.

I can confirm it also plays 1080p stuff fine, been very pleased with it so far. NTFS support is really welcome for the 1080p size files. I agree the sound quality on the set is amazing, much better than the useless speakers you always find on the LED thin sets.
#38
I've played a 38Mbps 1080p MPEG-2 transport stream without a problem even though in the manual it says the max bitrate is about 18Mbps or something. It looked amazing!
#39
Can you use any external hard drive with this ?.
#40
Great TV for this price (if Quidco tracks)...my mum and brother will be in for a big surprise this Christmas! Going from a 21" Toshiba CRT to this little beauty...they have no idea!
