A typically sleek design and excellent picture quality combine on the Samsung LE32C530F1 LCD TV. You’ll experience the brilliance of Full HD high definition when connected to compatible 1080p sources and this is fully complemented by Dolby Digital sound.

And there’s no excuse anymore for leaving all those great digital pictures and videos in your cameras. All you need with the Samsung HDTV is your USB connection cord. Just plug it in then instantly play. It even works for your music collection

The LE32C530F1 also comes with an integrated digital tuner which gives you access to a wealth of standard Freeview channels. An electronic programme guide makes it simple to organise your viewing.

This Samsung LCD TV can also be connected to your computer and used as a PC monitor. Supplied with a table-top stand.

This television is ‘high definition ready’ which means it has the ability to display high definition signals with the addition of a separate HD receiver. HD broadcasts are at a much higher resolution than regular analogue or digital broadcasts and have greatly enhanced picture quality. The level of detail is astonishing with clearer, sharper and more vibrant images.

Yes its the same model

Some people would prefer to pay £25 more for 4 years extra cover , it also makes the tv easier to sell in the future if its covered by a guarantee .
#4
Nice price at JL considering the extra guarantee
#5
not sure the guarantee would transfer if you sold it though, but worth the difference in price

I have been looking at John Lewis for a TV over the last week. The 5 year guarantee is great. I can't find any reviews on this tv though.

I also like the look of the:
Sony Bravia KDL32EX403U (http://www.johnlewis.com/230950649/Product.aspx)
and:
Samsung UE32C5800 (http://www.johnlewis.com/231052917/Product.aspx)

Is there a big difference between an LED tv or is just not worth it?

I got this tv last week and am pretty pleased with it. Picture is good quality and I like the usb feature.

The only downside is the remote looks very cheap but can live with that.
#15
Nice price. Sort of paying £30 for the 5 year warranty, as £300 seems to becoming the new price point for 1080p 32inchers, and I suspect they'll stop making non-1080p screens soon.

I get the impression LCD TVs fail rarely, though, hence the relatively cheap 5 warranties around, but £30 still feels like pretty good value.
#16
The only downside to lcd tv's I can se having had them for many years now is that thunderbugs get in them & die on the screen, whereas this is not a problem with plasma.
So what do you do as they look like dead pixels!?
#17
Mr gus i had the exact same problem with my LCD monitor. am sorry to say that what i did was live with it :(

i have never seen it happen with any other LCD screen or TV however so i do not think it is *that* common.

good deal for the set.

Hi Bigmike, we've had this happen on 2x samsung lcd & one sony lcd monitor to date, ..we live with it due to distance from screen generally & the fact that it's tiny not worth getting in a tizza bout as not main tv's ..the one on the sony lcd monitor though is a pain!

Dear Mr Brown,

Excellent deal. JL could probably price match with richer sounds deal?
#27
Hi,I was thinking of buying from JL but £65 for installation whereas £45 with dixons. So dixons overall price£305 +40 installed, plus free deliv is £345 but JL £329.95 +65 installed= £394.95 with free deliv and 5 yr g'teeBig difference if you want installation
#28
£50 extra is still good considering you get 4 extra years guarantee imo.I bought a Samsung LED form JL, it cost £25 more than amazons best price but i wanted the peace of mind for 5 years so considered it worth it.

dont think that many people want installation now anyway as its just a case of plug and play,it does all the tuning for you so not sure what installation involves nowadays?
