Ordered one of these from Ebuyer at 8pm last night, arrived this morning!! Requested Super Saver delivery (3-5 working days) but when the confirmation came through it was marked as Free Next Day Delivery.

Great TV, with built in Freesat HD.

Good price for the spec.

Does this TV allow streaming media from a DLNA media server via the LAN port?

I read the ebuyer info and it suggests it does but I read the manual from Samsung website and it doesn't even meantion DLNA in the full document - instead says will stream content from pc running their own media software. Not interested if it doesn't stream DLNA server content as my NAS stores all my media.

I've been trying to order this for a few days but Ebuyer are trying to charge me £8 delivery instead of being free. They say that my area (Scotland) isn't covered by the new courier they are using, utter **** I live in Dundee, a city, so I should get free delivery like most other people!!!

This is not Freesat HD, but Freeview HD.

Ordered the C550 in August when it was a hot deal on here via Ebuyer. It was £319. I'm guessing the C580 is the same TV just with a Freeview HD Tuner included.

Highly recommend the DLNA stuff - great for watching downloaded stuff via the laptop, especially HD content.

Downside of the TV is that its quite disappointing in handling dark/shadowy/black pictures, just to be aware of, but in terms of functionality etc at that price I was pleased.

I have a Samsung TV and mine will mount my NAS and play content from it if that helps. You dont need DLNA but its a nice to have.

PS MIne is not this model

Dixons are currently doing the Samsung le40c580 for £459.99, but using the code TV20 at checkout gives a £20 discount on all tvs over £400 and 3% cashback through quidco aswell. Bringing it down to £426. The code expires today though so hurry

Looks nice in the pic and all that connectivity sounds great.

But anyone like to tell me whether the picture and sound quality are any good?

I have SD Sky+, rubbish SD freeview signal strength and broadband so poor it may aswell be dial-up so won't be using all the other malarkey. For about £350 i need a telly with no additional surround sound kit plugged in that will make the most of DVD/Blu-ray and SD Sky .

Is this the one?

You think £8 for delivery is bad. I live in Northern Ireland and tried to order a tv the other day from a company on the mainland. They were going to charge me £94 for delivery.

I've got one of these coming from amazon tomorrow. Similiar price to this. Seems like it's got all the right features for my needs.

all these tv that state they run dlna is like clutching at straws, compatibility is crap, you have to use a third party software which you have to pay a licence fee for every connected device, its marketing crap, hardly any support, dont get suckered with the dlna until it is proven, cant even read tags on your media. sorry im running a sony 32ex403

I've had this TV for a just under a week now. The set itself looks great and the picture/sound quality is excellent.

It also play's pretty much anything connected via USB (including MKV's :)).

Mine arrived at lunchtime and I'm very impressed. I just need to wall mount it now.

The screen quality is great. Hd freeview for the footie is superb. Just need an hdmi cable now to hook up my new Acer revo.
