The only 40" Sony I can see from John Lewis is £100 more than that and is not 100Hz.

I have one of these and can heartily recommend. The 100hz works really well. combine with an upscaling DVD player - old DVD's are stunning in detail.
In common with many sets source selection is slow, though.
As for the price - I paid far more 3 months ago....:oops:
