looks pretty good - edit: There's conflicting specs on different websites as to whether this is a DLNA (Allshare) set or not. so if anyone actually knows, please pipe up...!

Both the LE37C580 and LE37C530 have the same screen.

regarding the 'panel lottery', with the 37" screens its a moot point, as (as far as I am aware) they're all AUO MVA panels anyway. factor that into your reviews, i guess - e.g. 32" c530 screen tests might get much better ratings from their IPS panels than 37" ones with MVA panels (though theres very few 37" screen reviews generally so good luck finding them :( ).

Surely the more critical aspect of this set is its poor refresh rate - 50Hz ? Very probably still a good deal at £299 though.

I have the 32C530 and the 40C530 and the TV is very good quality for an entry Full HD from a decent brand. the colour is rich and great with a HDMI cable and HD source. The USB port on the side is useful and plays .avi files and hooks up to a NTFS format western digital drive

apparently 37" is a bit of odd one as panels can be dodgy and 40" often similar price (dixons were £319 a few weeks ago on 40" c530)

The LE37C530 is guaranteed to have an A-MVA panel. The lottery is with the processor, either MStar or Trident.

Note that CCFL based 37" models from Samsung, Sony, Toshiba, etc suffer from buzzing issues (most likely due to the panel inverter or the PSU). It probably only affects a small minority of buyers.

The LE37C580 is preferable, however, it's £380 at Amazon.

I have a 32" full HD tv. Can someone tell me if its important to have a expensive scart lead to get the best picture. Cant make my mind up if its worth paying Sky £10 pm. Also seen here recently someone asking if people still use a scart lead. Is there any other way?
Thanks!

Scart leads are not for HD signals, you need an HDMI lead for that and you can get them for a couple of quid if you get from a popular auction site..

Consider one of these http://www.johnlewis.com/230869578/Product.aspx or similar. HDMI cable included in the box.
