It states at the top of the page that this is an ex-display model....
If its any help, I've got the 40" version of the Samsung above and when I compared it to the Sony's I was interested in it was far superior in picture quality.
I have to admit the sound is not brilliant, but then that's what home cinema systems are for!!
You won't be disappointed with the Samsung - probably not with the Sony either.

Will I for one wouldn't like to have to use separate sound setup for daily use, occasional films maybe, is the sound too bad to use for just general daily TV ?

Not at all.
I just find mine is a little tinny...
Why not get a soundbar instead of a full home cinema system?
There's some pretty good ones around now for about £100 or so.
