This tv is currently on offer in currys and comet at 649 pounds and has an rrp of 800.

using the attached voucher i managed to get this great price of 547.

if the 37 inch tv is too small or too big there is a large range of this model on the dixons website. a 40 inch version costs 629 with the voucher and a 32 inch would be 475

looking at contrast ratio of 8000:1 this couldnt be touched for quality in the price range and delivery is free. An added bonus is its a fantastic looking tv from a top end manufacturer

use codes save25 or pr25 to get 25 pounds off the web price down to the deal price off 547

ps sorry if the picture doesnt appear on the post this is my first deal ive listed.

Great price for a great TV. It's the nicer looking model that doesn't have 20 feet speakers sitting on the side either, although the sound isn't great for a main TV. You will need to hook it up to a surround sound system.

Also check out AV-FORUMS for the optimized picture settings.

sorry my fault i tried to edit it but couldnt see how to it reduces the price to 547

Plus Quidco!

I'm currently waiting for this to arrive. After reading a lot of info on iot on the AV forums I have discovered that there are 3 different types of panels used by samsung on this model - S, A and C.

Apparently Dixons mostly use the the C type which is inferior to the other two panels, partly down to its poorer viewing angle. You can tell which one you have by looking at the end of the model number on the box and the back of the telly.

Anyone got one of these know which panel they have? Are the C types really that bad?

Dave.

I've got this model and a slightly older 26" model and both are superb picture quality. Second to none other that i've seen to be honest.

I ordered the TV (which is great by the way) last week and it was delivered on Saturday but at the time I ordered it was £604 online before 5% discount code so I ended up paying more than this deal only a week ago...

To say I am a bit miffed is an understatement - is it worth my while saying something to Dixons?

I would definitely call or write to them. I tried this when I bought a laptop from Comet earlier this year. They dropped the price about 5 weeks after I bought it so I wrote to them. They replied, saying that if the price had dropped within 28 days form the date of purchase, then they would have refunded me the difference. But because it was past this time period, they couldn't do it.

Amazon have the same 28 day price policy too I believe.

Give it a go. It's only gonna cost a price of a phone call or stamp, so you don't have a lot to lose. Good luck!!

Thanks - will let you know how I get on. It's £30 so worth making a fuss over - enough to buy me another bargain!

**Update** I emailed them - they replied fairly quickly with the following:

I have requested for the difference in price to be refunded back to your
card.

Please allow up to seven working days for this to show.

Result!!

Using code save5 brings the total down slightly further to £543.40

Hi,

Really want to purchase this tv and trying to decide where to buy. Can now get it for about 510 ish using the code quidco and also egg card.

However many have mentioned about the John lewis route. Some people have been successful by gettin JL to price match with empire direct stores thus getting this tv for £549 and that includes an amazing 5yr warranty.

Anybody had experience reccommendations or know of any other potential deals on this set?

Can you advise how you are able to double up on Quidco and an egg card? I would have thought you would have to go through one site or the other an wouldn't be able to get both discounts.

No all you have to do is the following.

Use the quidco link to go to dixons then just pay with an egg card.

There is on need to use the egg card link. In fact if you go to that link and check it does not actually even pass any information on to dixons all it does is provide a main link to dixons.co.uk.

I have done it this way on many occasions and had complete success.

However now I am going down the JL £549 price match as for an extra £35 I get an additional 4 years Warranty.
