The Samsung LE37S86BD is HD Ready. HDTV allows you to experience television like never before with the widest range of colors and the clearest images. High Definition contains four or five times as many pixels making the image much clearer than standard definition.

Super Clear Panel technology gives you the most realistic black reproduction you've ever seen. Blacks will never again appear grayish and you will see fantastic details even in dark scenes.

The Wide Color Enhancer technology delivers more brilliant colors, even in bright areas of the picture where blues and greens are washed out on conventional screens. The system presents a wider color gamut and four times as many color gradations, showing you true colors; the fresh green of spring foliage, and the intense blue of the summer sky.

Conventional LCD TVs are plagued by motion judder when showing fast moving action in movies and sporting events. The moving person or object looks shaky or blurred, like a series of still images, instead of a smooth moving picture.

Samsung LCD TVs offer unparalleled picture quality that can be optimized for gaming at the touch of a button. It allows for H-sharpness and a faster response time in the games. In addition, its powerful surround sound effects produce a magical environment of wonder that is filled with excitement and joy.

The LG you linked to isn't 1080p, it's 1366 x 768.

Seems like a good price to me...hot
#11
is this the new smasung series they are currently plugging or is this simply them clearing old stock?
#12
Screen resolution 1366 x 768 - that's not what i'd call "HD", that would be useless as a PC monitor, and as a TV would only manage 720p, not 1080i

shame, as other than that its a good price for the features.

Doesnt have 1080p, which is what everyone wants as thats the best

No point of having 1080p on a 37 inch screen, you wont be able to tell the difference between 720p unless your sitting really close to the telly.

Great HDTV 7,000:1 contrast ratio and up to 6ms response time...plus the side speakers make it look and sound brilliant! lol voted HOT....i want to purchase the 32" version tho, anyone know where to get one cheap?
#19
oh and people are getting confused by this whole "1080p is true Hd" thing...1080p is just the screen size resolution, "1920x1080" this size will never fit on a 26"-32" TV...Screens from 40" and up will support true 1080p because the screen will fit the image...You can get 37" 1080p or 32" but the resolution is scaled down and plus you can't see that much of a difference between 720p and 1080p anyway.
