Brand new range, replacing the M86 range. Full spec details below:

* Picture Enhancement - DNIe Plus
* Contrast - 30000 : 1
* Sound type - SRS Trusurround
* Inputs - 3xHDMI, 2xSCART, 1x Component
* Visible Screen Size - 40"

Selling for £999.99 on Dixons website, use voucher code '40SAMHD' to get £130 knocked off, followed by voucher code 'AW20' to get a further £20 knocked off! Plus Quidco, that's a further £25 knocked off, so this TV could potentially be £825! You might want to use an EGG card to purchase this TV, which I understand is 5% off? That's a further £42...so who knows, you could very well get this for £783. A £217 saving!

Free delivery is apparently until the 6th of April and the '40SAMHD' voucher expires on the 7th of April, I believe.

I'm REALLY tempted to get this... I was going to get the LE40M86BD model, but for an extra £65 (compared to current Dixons prices, including AW20 voucher and Quidco), I might as well get this.

I just hope someone reliable can give a good review of this TV before Friday, as there are NO reviews at the moment.

For the spec of this TV though, at £825, possibly even £783, it's a bargain...

This is the first time I've ever submitted a deal, by the way, so I hope everything is ok.

have a look ere for initial feedback. the thing to note is the 32" and 37" models have a lower contrast ratio of 15000 compared to the 30000 on the 40", 46" and 52". also compared to the 6 series (which sports 100hz technology) most like the 5 series on the us av forums.

Excuse my ignorance, but which series is this TV, then? I thought it was 6 series?
#4
its a a5 or 5 series, the 56p is prob a DSG exclusive samsung model. 6 series have a high contrast of 50000 (40" models and above) and 100 mhz technology.

confusing and misleading isnt it !

Immoral, yes, when currys say they will "pricematch" on the window but all their stuff has exclusive model numbers !

It's quite confusing looking through that link...

Does the US have a totally different Samsung TV lineup to Europe? or are we just a bit behind? The LN40A650 looks like what I may be after if it's released here, any ideas if/when that is?
