Right, thanks. I'll check it out. :-D

The 616 has 100hz and I would say it's better than my old 40w4000 because of it but I couldn't find details for this model anywhere.

Why can't these manufacturers make 1 model of each size and range. Am I getting old? :whistling:

616 has lower resolution and lower spec panel (althiugh there has been some critics of the panels used in the 656 and 686 due as they are very reflective and show the dust up) as well as one Less HDMI but at £395 I know which I would choose.

Got this for £500 in January, amazingly from my local PC World (never thought that would happen).

Brilliant TV.

I was looking at buying this TV last week from 1st audio visual, best price around. Some really well priced TV's on the site.

I read a review somewhere that these sammy models suffer from terrible input lag when connected to a console. Any truth in this??

No discernible input lag for me...using the component cable with my Xbox 360. I would imagine its even better using the VGA cable.

I have to say its a superb tv...the only flaw is the sound, which is pretty poor due to crap built-in speakers!

Bought it for £698 in Richersounds and 5 years guarantee (you usually have to paid 10% of the article price for it). I had to bagain for this price and it was a price match.
P.s Heard you have to watch these free 5 year guarantee as some don't have a great level of cover. Was in a forum about the John Lewis 5 year cover and there were quite a few 'not happy bunnies'.
Suppose it's all in the small print.

Have had this TV for a year now, bought it form Currys online for £740... best TV I have ever owned, especially for Blu-ray and PS3...

Sound not to great mind you, a bit tinny, best used with a external amp...

i got this tv the day it was out. . .spent £1050 on it. . . . yeahh i know lol! "Jesus i could almost buy 2 now!!" but worth every penny, has lots of different picture mode works great with x360 and PS3 blu-rays look FANTASTIC! actually look here to see some 1080p photosynth shots of the tv running The Dark Knight photosynth.net

Only cons are.. the audio is OK but could be better + built-in free view is SLOW ASS changing channels!
