Full HD 1080p
1080p is the purest form of high definition that a television can display. This leads to a smoother, more film-like image, which will satisfy sports and movie lovers alike. With a 1080p signal, the information that makes up an image is displayed progressively or all at once, rather than in an interlaced fashion.

This is an old range television with only 50Hz frame rate .. for £599, its expensive because you can get £100 for £649 from Richer Sounds and £699 from John Lewis. See no reason to add heat ... cold !

It's a 2009 model TV, so although not the latest range, a good set still. I got this from Costco for £575 inc 5 year waranty and 90 to take back if I dont like it, but I think I will keep it. Plus @ RicherSounds the next model with 100hz is the LE40B650 which is £759 + £76 for 5 year waranty.
So not sure where you are getting £649 from, can you clarify?
JL had the lesser version of this 'on offer' last Friday which tempted me but this version is better still! Series 5 Samsung is on a par with the big Sonys and does not appear to have the wee glitches i read about with the Sony (backlighting). After much...MUCH...consideration i e-mailed JL on Fri night and asked them if they would price-match Comet/Dixons/RicherSounds at £599 (JL was £699)...lo and behold...£599 online next i bought one!!! Free dely and 5 years warranty...and a classy TV...GET IT NOW...181 yesterday...ONLY 100 left now!!!

Useful as ever TP, have voted for you to be the MVP, just waiting for the polls
I haven't come across those Sony's with 200Hz motionflow, could you please post a lonky?

I've been looking at the Sony Bravia KDL32W5500U and KDL32W5710U (equally spec'ed but some web-shops report the latter with only 60000:1 contrast ratio whereas on avforums the difference is purely cosmetic). But on John Lewis website have the Panasonic Viera TX-L32G10B (32") which uses IPS panels. Not sure which one's the Sony use, TN, P-MVA or IPS. My question being is the £200-300 difference jusfified between the Sony and Panasonic?
It's available for £599.99 at Currys also and there are vouchers for £50 off a £600 spend. Depends what you value more, the cash saving or the warranty.

Voted neutral.
Only 50hz !!! lmao
