Well it does say 1080p in the picture so i guess it is Full HD

None near Bolton or Blackpool :-(

I have one of these. It's full 1080p. It's actually an incredible television, which the reviews universally acknowledge. I'd recommend it above the more recent model which charges for an overrated 100hz and gimicky internet TV stuff you won't end up using much anyway.

And this price is an absolute steal. I paid £460 last month and thought I got a good deal!
#6
can't find any anywhere useful for me :(
#7
1080p = 1920x1080 resolution
#8
Prices ending in .97 are clearance.
Don't be surprised if you don't find them anywhere, and don't be surprised if it's the one on the shelf for sale!

Good find unfortunately out of stock everywhere.

Topcashback only works on internet sales so if this is only available in store then not much use.

This is from topcashback site:

"PC WORLD CASHBACK discount rewards can be earned simply by clicking through to PC World and then shopping exactly as you would normally on the PC World website. It is so simple :-).

PC World cashback is available through Top CashBack on genuine, tracked transactions completed immediately and wholly online."

from what i have read on other threads on here the resolution on plasma as such doesn't need to be as high as lcd? just thought would put up other alternatives similarly reduced in price as that posted and available to purchase.
#16
This was posted a year ago! for a lot more as well.

I've been using my HDTV as a 2nd monitor for over 4 years now and come very close to getting that Sony 32" 1080p £350 offer, so at a distance no you are probably right, but to use as a pc display, 1080p native is a must really.

I cannot find mention of 100hz on any website...

As I mentioned in the first post. Limited availability. I found another one available at Nottingham.

Good luck for hunting down your bargain.

I expect prices to come down in the autumn as 3D tv's come into prominance. I won't be buying any 3D as it gives me a headache!

no plasma is way better, better colours, better black levels, better viewing from an angle (if you have a wide room for example), just a better TV all round.
just cos an LCD is 1080p doesnt make it good

Bit of a sweeping statement that 1! :?

I paid £420 for the 32" 10 months ago :( brilliant TV, mine is the B550, which can play MKV via USB, I think this might be able too aswel.

not really since I work in a shop selling TVs.
I see cheap nasty 1080p LCDs alongside top quality plasma's like the panasonic's and they just look terrible, especially on sports.
hate cheap LCDs for their black levels that turn grey as soon as you move from off centre and the higher level ones that try to compensate by making the screen glossy and really reflective.

seen some nasty cheap plasma tvs but they still looked better than the equivalent LCDs

cant find one in stock anywhere within 60 miles of my home... good luck to everyone else who tries to find one!

Edit: Make that.... cant find one in stock anywhere.... including near London, Liverpool, Sheffield, Nottingham, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Hull, Scunthorpe, Lincoln, Rotherham, Grimsby, Doncaster, Mansfield, Chesterfield......

Can anyone find one anywhere?????

I was making reference to the more recent version of this, the B650. I was suggesting that the newer one being 100hz doesn't justify the price difference.

Currys and PCW tend to place LG & Samsung TV's in prominant places and the sets are always sparking where as Panasonic and Sony tend to be hidden around corners with a good coating of dust. Maybe there is a bigger profit margin with the Korean brands.

unlikely, theres not much profit in any TV brand.
we tend to sell more samsung and LG cos they're more reasonably priced for your average consumer, but given the choice I'd rather have Panasonic.
Not a fan of Sony at all, think its highly over priced for what it is.

Freeview HD built in is useless unless it comes with a PVR included.

Freeview HD PVRs are now being released, just get it separately.

FreeviewHD only started last September, TV only appearing in last few months, majority of TV stock is NON FreeviewHD, won't be the norm until next year.

Instead of checking availability, I seem to have reserved one as I have an email :? Says I need to pay on collection. Is PC World like Argos, if I don't collect it, it doesn't matter?
#35
my parents have this tv
its great and has a mat screen
which is a big bonus for me as the shiny ones suck ass
and reflect everything and you have to clean them twice a day

...ah right, so built in Freeview is useless as well is it?

Of course, a Freeview HD PVR is a useful addition, but give me a built in HD receiver over one without any time.

I stand by my point that SD Freeview only will be where the bargains are for a few months, probably another year. Soon those sets will be as 'old technology' as sets without Freeview are now.

+1
I’d rather save money and buy without Freeview HD and put the money towards a HD PVR as I very rarely watch live TV and have no interest in going back to doing that.
Freeview HD PVRs are expensive at the moment so not a good time to be buying one.

HOT! is a real shame cant buy this anywhere though

Not really, it’s just saying that you can’t deduce the quality of a TV by the panel resolution which as far as I’m concerned is a widely held view.
