This TV has got a 5 star review in What Hi-Fi Magazine recently. Listed as best buy and 5 star reviews in a few other hi-fi magazine. Granted it doesn't have 100Hz, but at this price I think it is still a bargain.

http://www.whathifi.com/Review/Samsung-LE40B550/

Price listed includes 5% Easter discount (EASTER5) which expires on Wed at 1700. Otherwise it's cheaper in Pixmania (but they charge for delivery I think).

Very very tempted myself at this price...

Quidco or as I call it kidco has never worked for me so I don't bother anymore-complete waste of time.

What issues have you been having with them?

Just to offer an alternative viewpoint, I've received £346.15 from them since Oct 2008. Works great for me.

£782.61 in a similar time period in my case!

:-p

Any good reason not to go for this TV?

The only thing i can think of is that i've heard some Samsung Tvs have a bit of a picture delay for games consoles. I'd be grateful if someone can verify this

It could be that I am making a mistake somewhere-I order off their site having logged in-the order goes through but no cash back. To be honest I have not contacted them about this yet.

do you use firefox?
do you allow cookies?
do you delete internet history before logging into quidco?

if you do the above you should have no problems

i average about £600 a year with no problems

there was the 37" version listed for £399 a while back, but if your struggling to decide go for it, it is a great price for a high spec ser imo one of the nicest bezels out there, an extremely smart bit of kit

there are issues around some of the samsungs having higher input lag whch will mainly affect gaming, though i have a sony W5500 which i use primarilly for gaming, it is not meant to be great for input lag but iexperience no issues, i think people get very much over fussy about it!

when you go through the process of checking out and entering details there is a clear area it outlines to enter voucher codes, believe it to be where you put in your card details,

btw has anyone noticed the quality bundle deal you can get paying £100 more for that universal harmony remote.........

I've taken the plunge...

...and Quidco has tracked it. Result! Expecting £15.36 cashback. Total price therefore £440.61 all in.
