alas not freeview hd built in but still a bargain for those with sky hd !

Hmm, looks good. 50Hz only though.

100hz or 200hz carries £100+ premium, not many 40inch LCDs with 100hz under £500 let alone £400

FreeviewHD not even a year old, again under £400 40inch set, wishful thinking.

If you are desperate for it now and want to buy from a store Currys have it for £379. Got mine yesterday:3. Good price if you want to wait. Voted hot.

best use code for online purchase at Currys, get free delivery and a further £12ish from TopCashBack...brings it in delivered at around £348 from Currys

Yeah 50Hz is old technology now

Good price, I've bought this from Currys, but also with a Camcorder (was cheaper at currys, then anywhere else!) and so used the £35 of £600 spend. Plus 3.5% cashback from QuidCo!

why do people keep ranting on about 50hz for 40" branded LCDs at under £400? Nobody would have complained so much 6 months ago and would have said "what a bargain" and "great tv for the money".

Perhaps people are forgetting, this is not Av forums to discuss the ins and outs of modern LCD tvs, this is a bargains forum, and for a 40" Samsung LCD tv for £360 this is undoubtedly a bargain!

To many ridiculous quotes of 50Mhz etc. This is a quality set for the money. I bet if you watched the TVs without knowing the Hz none of you could tell the difference. ;-)

got this one from currys for £360.05 delivered plus cashback mine is due before 7 tonight.

And as Hearts says 50hz not a big deal really

The 50hz QQ is funny. 100hz is actually bad for gaming with all the post-processing going on, thus you get some input lag.

I've got this TV and FIFA looks good. For some reason I can only get the xbox to work in 720 not 1080 - any ideas.

You notice the 50hz when watching cartoons...

how did you get cashbk dan?

Aarrrrghhhhh, in and out of stock on a daily basis at Amazon, haha.
Anyway, not sure if people know. But video playback via USB is excellent on this TV.
Stick in an NTFS formatted USB stick with a downloaded movie on it, 1080P, MKV with DTS audio.....no problem 8).

As for it only being 50Hz, meh.. I turn my TV down to 50Hz intentionally as I hate the effect given by 100Hz +. As long as it's a decent panel, it wont matter too much.

Tried this out today with a HD episode of some american sitcom and it worked brilliant and looked fantastic, I can find nothing to complain about in playback!

Back now at £379.99. The new yield management software not only ramps up prices when more people buy but also ramps up prices when people look at a deal. This is all over airlines, Amazon and elsewhere. If you spot it and want it, get in as once it is advertised, the price is only going up.
