Great price, great TV.

Bought this for £340 from Comet 2 months ago (got 10% off price of £379).

Amazing TV for the price. Didn't get a stand, but it's on my bedroom wall so didn't need one.

Great deal at this price too.

I do not think it's HOT as no DVLNA, Not and Internet TV (cannot watch youtube or use as PC monitor to browse net) and 50hz refresh rate...but good for those who just need 1080P HDTV and cannot wait for deal on 100 Hz or 200 Hz tv

Amazon got good reviews ...but I always prefer Sony above any other brand...Samsung is the last.

It would be a higher number of Hz as they aren't measured in the same way.

Very cheap if you can get the 20% off.

for £20 more you can get a Toshiba Freeview HD telly so this isn't that great of a deal to be honest.

Went in to Derby store and they didnt have this tele nor new about the VAT free weekend.
The sales assistant didnt quite seem all there though to be honest so didn't hang around to ask someone else.

If you mean HDMI cable it depends what its for. Xbox ps3 Blu-ray player etc as tbh and i dont care what anyone says an HDMI cable is an HDMI cable because one costs the earth does not mean it performs the any different to one at £1. However there are different versions and thats more important. for Bandwidth reasons you would need a version 1.4 for 3D as it complies with the required bandwidth needed for a 3D signal but any v1.3 would be fine for anything else HD.

Thats kind of you, I'm not 100% sure about the code of conduct on this website but I'd have called him a total ....... moron.

I have this TV with the Freeview HD which is an excellent TV (and worth the extra if you can afford it, but obviously you have to draw the line somewhere) and I have a Sony in the bedroom. Always was a Sony fan but the Samsung is better, no question.

I hope your Sony TV is one of the Sony TVs with a Samsung panel in it, I really do.

Tbh, who the hell would want to watch youtube (save from the few decent HD videos) on a 40 inch tv? They look bad enough on a 24" screen >_>
#33
I went in my local TJ Hughes today and they weren't advertising the 20% off!

I agree,

I watched that ch4 programme "Rude Tube" and many clips were almost unwatchable, and this was from a broadcaster.

Internet tv is okay, but I dont think its that impressive really.

Yeah I saw this on the site, but when you click on it it doesn't go to the product.

On their home page no where does it say the 20% off is also in-store so brushed it aside thinking they took all the 'decent' stuff off for the 20% off period.

Has anyone other than the poster got this?

Not for me, but with a 30 day returns policy, the 1st item might be worth a punt for someone

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B003EEM1LK/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used

EDIT CAN't Get link to work but there are 2 used TV's from Amazon for £302.08 dld. One has slight cosmetic damage and is offered with 30day return policy

Doesn't matter how cheap this tv is - it's still a pile of crap. Those people who say it has a great picture should have gone to specsavers...
#39
Sorry to be a Pain but, I bought this very TV @ £379 ( when it was on offer from Currys) Somehow it feels like a cheap TV and when I turned it ON in the dark there are loads of pink in the black and shades, On this very model most of the panels used are made in China by Samsung but there is a huge discussion on AV forums and without using it I have taken it back for a full refund>

However If you are not so picky its a OK TV.
