With features including a noise filter to clean up standard definition broadcasts, a reassuringly futuristic 'HyperReal Engine', which makes the picture prettier, and 3 HDMI, it should stand the test of time. Amazon reviewers have given it 4.5/5 stars overall, making it a bit of a winner really.

Its a ok price the 40c580 for £408.61 is better in many ways but is ment to lack 24p Heat though even though i am about to buy the c580 just love the samsung range personally 8)

P.S 24p doesn't bother me don't have a blu-ray player or ps3 so not needed for me.

It means it uses the slim wall mount...doesn't come with it though, if it did would be amazing

Yeah, shame it doesnt come with one, fair price regardless!

Decent TV, just remember to turn off the noise filter, otherwise everything is more of a blurry mess than with it off.

Like many samsung TVs, its terrible for gaming, but any HD content works fine.

Good price, however Amazon are currently offering a 42" LG Full HD TV for a little less

Wrong, wrong wrong.
This is fantastic for gaming, along with all the other Samsung's I have owned. From what I've found, Sony's are the worst! I've seen some cheap brands look better!

Its really not. The input lag is huge unless you use the PC/Game mode, which makes it a little more bearable, but the loss in visual quality is huge. Its the same for any cheap LCD such as this one. You'd really have to go for a high end LCD (or LED most likely these days) to reduce the input lag nearer to what you'd expect from a gaming LCD monitor.

Or you could go for a cheap Panny plasma and never bother with this LCD crap ever again.

The C530 is a Which? Magazine Best Buy. The cheapest Panasonic with a better picture is the S20, which is >£500

What has the C580 got that the c530 hasn't to make it a better TV?

See http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/samsung-le40c580-le32c580-20100728791.htm . Also, at the end of the Review, see Update 3, which includes the remark... 'C580 is greatly superior to the C530 in every regard.'
