Buy the Samsung LE40C530 40 inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD TV and get the Samsung BDC5500 Bluray Player for free.

I know you can get the TV for around £345 alone but seems like a good deal when the Bluray player is thrown in as well

Instore and Online

Update 30 April: Seems like Tesco have pulled the deal early. Thanks to fluffrobson for the info.

Excellent TV. Which? 'Best Buy'.

Just be aware that like many TVs, the C530 suffers from the 'panel lottery'. It will have an S-PVA panel or an A-MVA panel. There's a processor lottery too. It will have an MStar processor or a Trident processor. I don't know which permutation of the above is the most common in the LE40C530.

I bought the LE32C530 last year and have had no trouble with it. I like that fact you can plug a USB stick in the side and watch videos off it.

This one seems a better deal, admittedly not a Samsung but LED TV and Blu-Ray surround sound.

Only a savings of about 50-60 quid, since blu-ray players are now selling for much lesser price. Also, Tesco site itself has mentoined the current price of blu-ray player as 99 instead of 139.

Best thing to do is not even look to see what panel you have, ignorance is bliss.

I got this tv for £349.95 from Richer Sounds and I cannot fault it

I have a Samsung BE651 (37") from Dec 2009. It has great picture but the input lag is a heavy 50ms. This C530 has unbelievably low input lag of 14ms (http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/samsung-le32c530-le40c530-20100813815.htm).
If I hadn't a TV or that my last TV was older I would buy this.
Voted hot.

There is no panel lottery on the LE40C530 (or LE32C530) in the UK, you will get the S-PVA.

The 32" allegedly has 14ms lag. The 40" is about 40ms. The 14ms claim for the 32" is in dispute... see http://www.avforums.com/forums/14471623-post55.html

Quite proud of myself. Usually I would have just impulsively bought this!!

Nice find op.

Interesting! Certainly last year there was no panel lottery, it was simply a case of 32"/40" = S-PVA, 37" = AMVA.

They must've changed suppliers for their panels again.

Just been to the New Malden store - shelf edge label does not show offer but it does come through at the checkout!

Thanks for posting this - my old 28" tube is now looking a bit sorry for itself in the corner!

Wrong, the 580 has no lottery.

Just been to the Preston store, and was told the offer has been pulled because Tesco cannot meet demand.

Can't find the TV at all on the Tesco online website
