sorry, will do.

I'd still go for the Sony 40" tv even if it is £20 extra.

No it doesn't and it's a 50Hz panel.

Its a good price but sacrafices 50hz TV and 40 inches on just 60,000:1 contrast ratio. Id rather pay the extra cash and get the 500 model thats 469.99 and get 3 million to 1 contrast ratio plus divx and wirless too

Why?..This has a much better all round picture imo, I've looked at them both displaying the same source and the samsung was so much better...It also has much less input lag than the sony so it should be better for gaming.

I bought the 32" version of this for my wife's Christmas and a Sony 32 KDLex503 for my gaming mad son, if I'm being totally honest the Sony is far too complicated and the Samsung is perfect. if I was doing it all again I would buy 2 Samsung's just a better model for my gaming mad son I am happy with the one i got for the bedroom as it's ideal.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago from PRC via a previous HotUKDeals thread.

This is excellent value for money. I watch films (1080p/720p and DVD rips) via my portable USB drive, as the TV has a very capable built-in movie decoder (reads all standard formats). I've also connected my new Xbox 360 to it via HDMI and suffer no issues with refresh rate, ghosting, etc (playing games like Forza 3).

Contrast ratio ratings don't mean anything as there is no standard definition or test for manufacturers.

Lastly, Sony TVs are not what they used to be.

Please tell me you're joking.

Plus any LED-backlit LCD at this price will only be employing edge-lighting which tbh is crap in most cases and a good CCFL panel will usually beat it.

Its only £379 at Dixons/Currys

Cheers - just cancelled my C530 order with BestBuy and ordered this instead.

Voted hot from me :)

Dynamic Contrast ratio means absolutely zilch nowadays I am afraid - only thing that is important really is the native contrast ratio.(_;)

OK I've checked for one of these LED TV's that you speak off, cant find any, the cheapest one is this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-UE32C5100-32-inch-Widescreen-Freeview/dp/tech-data/B003DNSJ22/ref=de_a_smtd

at £390 via Amazon direct, however this doesn't have some of the features that this LCD tv has, not trying to cause any arguements but if you can find these LED's for this price then please share with the rest of us. So we can enjoy the technology.

I probably could but used up the last of my holidays from work waiting for it to turn up today. Think I'm, just going to hang onto the c530.
