Just pointing out that it has been a fair bit cheaper recently from other retailers. If you were looking to buy this TV it might be worth giving them a bell.

Similar prices elsewhere with larger quidco cashback, good TV though. Not a hot deal because the 37" is more expensive though.

Seeing as HDMI is on its way out - all sony, samsung and LG tv's will become even more cheaper, when they get rid of their HDMI stock. They have to pay royalties oneach unit sold with this connection.

Look out for HDBaseT

That would make sence considering Sony have just brought out a new range of high end receivers all supporting the latest HDMI standard (_;)

HDBaseT is the way forward, but to suggest HDMI is on the way out is at least premature if not laughable. HDBaseT alliance was just recently formed and the first specification was only agreed just over a month ago. Granted Sony, LG and Samsung have signed up, but that still leaves Panasonic, Toshiba and a whole host of AV manufacturers who have got to commit to this.

Don't expect first tranche devices capable of HDBaseT until 2011 and don't expect it to be a 'standard' until 2012/13 at the earliest. Then to replace HDMI will take a while after that bearing mind the sheer number of HDMI capable devices out there.
