i.m no expert - but I did read somewhere on avforurms that for Ps3 / XBox etc, it is better to have a 50hz refresh rate rather than 100, 200 etc.

Anyone in the know can tell me if it's worthwhile spending the extra money to go for either
LE40C630 / LE40C650?

or even the LED one:
UC40C5100

???

Many thanks

Yes, 50hz would result in a better rate of input lag for pure gamning.

@Marvin - it depends what you would use it for?

Joe: watch th old telly ;)

in seriousness: just want an allrounder for home use, for reasonable money that can deal with both HD and SD content. I like the LED UC40C5100 and am trying to justify the exta money for it and am struggeling (apart from the somewhat nicer design). So hoping somebody can point out other important difference from me that are less obvious.
The 6-series seems to have as only advantage the 100Hz technology. Again, for watching to odd movie, does this really make a difference (I don't watch much sports).
Probably will also get a Wii or other console at some point in time (when kids get older), so again, should be suitable for that.
Not sure if the internet connection is really worthwhile these days?

Sorry, I know, many questions...

For what its worth, after my months of research i came to the conclusion that this was the best budget 40" tv on the market. Its been down to £405 at amazon a month ago tho.

According to screenscraping sites, it has NEVER been on Amazon for less than the current £415 price.
