To be fair, it was £388 for all of 4 hours.

I was just mentioning this tv in another thread. This is a bargain. It's the best TV out there if you're at all into gaming in the sub £500 range, never mind sub £400.

Excellent TV - I have one - bought mine from Amazon for £350 (Warehouse deal).

Review here http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/samsung-le40c580-le32c580-20100728791.htm . 'Highly Recommended'.

Superb blend of picture quality & outstanding build quality. Glass stand, glass-effect bezel, metal rear casing, transparent bezel edging, red pinstripe at the base of the bezel. It oozes quality.

Unlike so many TVs, there's no panel or processor lottery with the LE40C580. It has the Valencia processor & S-PVA panel... no subscribers to the C580 thread on Avforums have reported getting anything but the S-PVA panel so far this year.

Menu > Plug & Play > General > Game Mode.

Do visit http://www.avforums.com/forums/lcd-led-lcd-tvs/1428891-samsung-c580-owners-thread-part-3-a.html to obtain the optimum picture settings for your C580.

Great TV, bought one last week.

Cheaper at Dixons when you take off Quidco http://www.dixons.co.uk/gbuk/samsung-le40c580-40-full-hd-lcd-tv-05029560-pdt.html

£399 - around £10 in cashback.

Also, which was worth a lot for me, Dixons delivered on Sunday for free.

Not really a hot deal when it comes to price as its been around £400 for past 4-5 months

But price aside Funso is correct this is an amazing TV with good pictur /build quality and if that wasn't enough the inbuilt media player is amazing and plays all video types including the ever so popular MKV in both 720 and 1080p via USB and network cable.

wish id got it through amazon as I bough it from best buy in jan when they where offering 22.2% cash back which ive still not recived and probs never will.

Tutu i would never buy from them again ! People return tvs for a reason, meaning their probally is something small wrong but you can't notice it or it was to do with the outter casing. (Good if the case is the reason)
I brought a 37" c5100 which was just poop ! I won't ever buy a second hand tv or return ! Fact

Just my opion :D

Great tv but sucks for monitor use. Returned mine want other panel :D but the same tv as its just unbeatable for value for money.

A 40" PC monitor?............now that is some screen!

We have one of these and it's very good. I stream media from my PC to the TV using the free Samsung PC Share Manager. I've also tried the TV as a monitor using HDMI from my netbook, it seems to work well.
Just a short video showing the Samsung software http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weshZ9Ae3pA

I'm Lacking space for seperate set-up and i will not waste money on a lesser laptop/notebook when my 3 year old desktop is better than most if not all sub £350 ones.

This tv isn't great for monitor use which is the onlything that lets me down. Its a awesome tv for the money if you won't use it for that or only on the odd 20 mins here and there. This tv is worth buying and you won't find better value for money ! Just a shame the panel doesn't suit my needs !
