Too many different 3d Standards, think i'll wait for the dust to settle, everyone needs to have the same glasses/standard before I'll invest. Also very little 3d material currently.

3d, is it all that?

Just bought a C6620. Couldnt see the point in even £50 more for 3D. I dont like it. I think the effect detracts from the rest of the film, and they end up making films to suit the 3D experience and forget to make the storyline & camerawork decent cos they're too busy trying to make things fly towards the viewer.
Also my gf says she can see the flicker on the samsung 3D tvs.
Rant over.

Just because you dont like 3d doesnt make it a cold deal, this is the cheapest around. Very hot if you ask me!
3d is the future, the only people who **** it off are the ones who cant afford to buy one! Me thinks samsung, sony and panasonic know what there doing.

Cant afford to buy one? When it's £50 more than the non-3d one? Why do people always assume everyone on this site is poor?
Didnt actually vote cold because as you say, it's a fantastic price IF you want this tv. I was just agreeing that i dont like 3D or see the point of it.

What a bizarre argument! I could afford to buy several of these, yet I dont think 3D is that great (from what I've seen so far) I found it a strange effect, like there was depth for sure, but actors and props looked like they were on flat 2 planes.. if that makes any sense!

I imagine there are different sorts of viewers, those who like technology and cgi effects and those that prefer a good story. Technology people will go for 3D tv's for sure and story people wont be so fussed.

Agree though people shouldn't be voting cold because its 3D, seems like a very good deal.

I choose my own 3d tv (Sony 52HX903) based on how good it's 2d picture was and see 3d as a bonus that may be entertaining now and again for movies and video games.

Whether or not you like 3D is clouding the issue. This is a great TV in 2d too! Bought one last month for £800 and am more than happy. The picture is great, it plays mkv's from my network and usb / hdd. has brilliant picture and is better than most tv's for the same price. Think of the 3d as a bonus.

that's how it should be.

That being said, the price for this TV is hot.

I just don't get the 3D thing, over priced for such a small amount of content.

Not going to vote either way
