OP you may have nabbed the wording from a previous thread but the wording does state that it is graded.....not sure this is true of your post or not but worth checking.

It is a great price but can be bought a little cheaper here http://www.rgbdirect.co.uk/ProductDetails.asp?SKUNumber=109923&Model=SAMSUNG-LE40C750R2KXXU I am however giving you a little heat for a good offer.....X)

I can't see it getting cold mate it is a good deal for anyone wanting 3d and I think I would much prefer a 3d LCD to a 3d plasma but not likely to get too hot....If it was graded it would be arctic but it isn't....RGB free delivery also....it is about £200 more on Amazon which is most peoples bench mark so good deal.

its a bargain

I'll vote hot but it's not for me.
3D is great but I can't afford to lose 2" oO

Input Lag 41ms in [Game Mode] compared to lag-free CRT

It's an ok deal but there are a number of stores selling this set for around the £600 mark and if your quick enough Richer Sounds are selling this set for just south of £600 but very limited stock.

The replacement model is meant to be a big improvement, especially when it comes to 3D. The 2011 3D glasses also aren't compatible, so if you are intending to use it for 3D i'd hold out for the replacement model to come down in price.

You're right about the glasses but I thought Samsung are going to make 3D only in LED and this panel may be on the way out.

I have to say that when I have seen this or the C50 panels, I have been very impressed with the PQ.

I gather they are starting to phase out CCFL LCDs and LED LCDs will become the norm. So you should find the new 7 series talking up the price point of their old CCFL counterpart once they skin the people who rush out and purchase the new models. Although they will be expensive when released, if you can wait 2 months for the price to drop to sensible levels, i'd get the new model instead.

From the reviews coming in, there's a massive reduction in crosstalk on the D series. The glasses are thinner and lighter, and they don't reduce the the brightness so much. They've also a pair which fit much better with specs without having custom prescription lenses fitted.

In my opinion, if you want 3D wait for the UE40D7000 to drop to a sensible price or get a plasma. If you don't want 3D, John Lewis have the LE40C650 for £605 and you get the 5 year warrenty. There's a fair chance of them dropping the price further too with the new models arriving very shortly.

The JL deal on the 40" is very good.

Thought this was the route that Samsung were taking which I find a little sad since this panel really did stand out for me for it's sharpness and very deep blacks (for a LCD).
