£10 of with this 10JUNEAW
then 4% with quidco = £880.27
or 5% with an egg card = £871.10

EGG and Quidco may well worth together - go through quidco, then pay with an egg card. There's a fairly good chance you'll get both.

Lovely set... but there are some Freeview problems...

Bought mine from Currys. Had it replaced. Currently waiting for Samsung to sort out the problems with the replacement. For more information check out...

Hi

Better option if you are after a stand is to add the one for £80 and use the £50 off voucher instead effectively get a cheap stand for £40)

The only difference is cosmetic, other than that theyre exactly the same tv. I bought this tv for about 1200 when it first came out a a couple of months ago, absolutely stunning tv, both with hd and sd content.

Yup, same TV, one digit different. Dixons/Currys do this to get them out of pricematching.....cunning eh?

How about this then, £926.95 Full price

£10 off with the 10JUNEAW offer makes it £916.95
then 4% of the £916.95 price back with quidco makes it £881.68
and then 5% Cashback in July with Barclaycard of £916.95 = another £43.66 back

Making the total spend £838.02!

*Edit, just checked the BC offer as it hasnt been confirmed, looks like i jumped the gun!

lovely tv . but samsung also do a 42" plasma for less than £700. its their latest model - ps42q97hdx. can anyone advise if the 40" lcd posted is much superior in all round quality ( picture , sound , looks) to the plasma.
its just that the plasma is 2" bigger and almost £250 cheaper. and if theres not much between the two in terms of picture quality etc, then the plasma wins . can any of u hot uk dealers vouch for either model

The plasma only has a 1024 x 768 resolution, so cannot do 1080p unlike the 1920 x 1080 res LCD.

i bought the le40 full 1080......lcd and i have to say its by far the best set ive ever had,,,,,paid £1074 for it in currys, its the best grand ive ever spent,,belive me i spent 3 months, searching the net, visiting currys ect ect before i finaly made my mind up on this model,,,,,iam now awaiting my skyhd box,,,i cant wiat to see something in full hd,,the way i look at it is this you can by cheaper sets and save your self maybe £400 but in 12/18 months, you will be looking to upgrade to a full hd tv,,,so you might aswell do it now
