We've seen the price of 'medium-sized' LCDs plummet lately, this is a good offer, but I have a feeling they may well go the same way in the near future :)
#7
oh yes...........

ah, lovely - can't wait til I get a bigger living room, then I can go from viewing a 46" (which isn't big enough as it is?). lol. HOT Price for what it is tho.

are LCD screens OK as big as this?

Analogue tuner? Analogue signals are being switched off all around the UK and will be completed by 2012!! But costumers wo doesnt have knowledge about it arre stilll buying analogue tvs!

Tuner Type:Analogue with Freeview

This will be so that someone who doesn't stay in an area that can get freeview will still be able to get a picture.

Freeview is a digital encoded signal sent on an analogue 'carrier' wave.

The reason the Government are so keen to switch over to this system, is so they can sell the frequencies currently used by 'terrestrial' channels to the phone companies:x

then get Sky or a freeview box! Its not rocket science...

can be found cheaper,

can be argued if you're going to spend that much on a telly to last you a few years, why not add 3 hundred extra and get the 100hz 656 model..?

dont worry yours is the better spec model.
you still got a good deal.

And dont forget that DVB-T2 (the high definition standard for DVB-Terrestrial) will not work with this tuner when it goes live in 2012 (Problem will be solved with a Set Top box !). I would buy this if I had the money :(, still voted Hot !

I find it funny that people would pay £1200+ for a Samsung when you can get a similar sized Pana and even a lower end Pioneer for that, which side by side would knock this LCD unit into oblivion!

It's a none-issue - all those people can just plug a Freeview Box into their analogue TVs.

This tv will be obsolete by 2012!!!. well nearly!..............anyone buying this tv will probably have upgraded by then.......probably :p

I thought most HDTVs these days included analogue and DVB-T/Freeview tuners and I can't see TVs coming without analogue tuner for few years yet.

Hopefully prices will keep on falling and this xmas will see some real nice prices.
#21
Who cares if it has an analogue or digital tuner? Jeez....its only about £15 for a freeview box!

I find it funny that u think similar size to a 52" is a 42", which is around 50% smaller!!!
