I ordered a 320GB one from Orange Acessories last week for £27.00, at the checkout it said "incorrect billing address," tried again after making sure I'd typed it exactly as it appears on my statements and got the same error... Checked with my bank and I was charged twice. I'll never place an order with them again.

I noticed the 320 gb are all out of stock and are portable, not mini portable. Shame about your experience though, I have never had a problem with them.

Ah, 1.8", handy!

Put 1.8" in the title - it may get noticed more / generate more heat. Heated!

Had a similar problem using Google Chrome. IE worked fine. Whether I'm charged once or three times remains to be seen!

They'll have authorised it twice - you can't check a card's address until you attempt to authorise a transaction. This is not the same as taking the money.

It's Orange - they may make you jump through hoops simply to receive an 'Item no longer in stock' email 24 hrs later....or...they may take your money without actually selling/sending you any goods. Dont say you weren't warned.

Good luck with ordering from Orange. I gave up on another item and I'm far from alone. Truly awful company!

Depends what you want them for. These are smaller and, depending upon your taste, cuter than the Passports. On the other hand, the 1.8" HDs inside spin at 4200rpm, so seek time and data transfers will be noticeably slower.

[edit] It apparently spins at 3600rpm - read 28MB/s write 20MB/s tops, so not too bad once it gets going.

Heat added, just ordered a red one as all others out of stock.

Hopefully it will be the same format internally as my Dell D420 sub laptop so I can finally fit more than 30GB of stuff on it lol - if not I have anopther use for it :)

Thanks OP

BEWARE!!!!

I completed a purchase for one of these drives just now that was showing as being in stock on the website. The transaction appeared to go through but was then reported as declined with the following message:- "Your transaction was not successful. Payment was not approved by bank. incorrect address/postcode". However, after checking with my credit card I discover that the amount has been debited from my card. Me thinks something dodgy is going on here!!!

It won't be. The usb port is soldered directly to the drive, just like the S2 drives. You won't be able to use this as an internal hard drive.

Oh well, I'll have to use it as a big USB memory stick, thanks for the link.

Last time I tried to order from Orange Accessories I got the "incorrect billing address" then got my card declined. The bank then put a block on my card as they had seen 3 attempts to gain payment for the same amount of money and the banks security team phoned me to tell me that they had had reports of suspicious dealings with this site.

I will never order from Orange Accessories but good luck to anyone that deals with them. Just my experience that I thought I would share

Mine arrived this morning, postie wanted a signature - no hassle at all.

Plugged it in to check it worked and it's fine, opened it up just to check the connection and can confirm this will not fit anything else as it has the USB connector soldered directly to the interface.

Still a tiny 250gb storage medium though, so my heat still stands :)

A picture of the drive inside measured against a phone card.
