Good review here.

Couldn't find many bad ones.

Just a pity that it's silver.

Does anyone know if this is the Anthracite silver or the bright silver?
#5
just bought it! so thank you for advertising this - couldn't find a cheaper and better quality one anywhere else.

does this fridge realy weigh 124kg thats almost 20 stone . how much do these cost to run a year compared to a standard tall fridge freezer of comparable energy saving ratings

About £45 per year compared to about £25.00

Yes they ARE heavy (Only a prob for the delivery/driver) but quite manoeverable as they are on casters.

also being so heavy they are quieter. too.

Are these things as good as they look? :D Have just ripped out my kitchen, can't decide whether to go for one of these or an inbuilt jobby.

I've got a Samsung one very similiar to this. It's brilliant. Favourite thing in my kitchen. Everyone drinks loads more water (get the filters from Ebay - much cheaper) and it's fab to have a supply of ice for drinks. There isn't a lot of room in the freezer but I've got a chest one in the garage anyway. The fridge side is great, so much easier having things at eye level.

Re the plumbing in - I can't really comment on it as I had my kitchen built from scratch and the fridge fits exactly in the corner so I had all the plumbing to it hidden under the plaster.

I've had mine for about 4 years now and can't fault it.

There have been serious problems with some Samsung RS21 fridge freezers - as featured on Watchdog:

http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=2088

I think this is a newer model and the design fault should have been corrected. I have been put off Samsung by the reports of poor customer service though.
#16
I bought this model two and a half years ago. the fan ices up due to poor design causing the fridge to heat up as the defrost heater is useless. If you must buy one try and get a 5 year warranty as samsung customer care is non existant.

excellent thanks very much xxx

Be warned, Samsung have below average reliability (check the Which guide for back up of that and do a quick search online). Mine broke after 2.5 years and still waiting for the Samsung recommended engineer to fix it after about 6 weeks (replaced one part at a cost of £128 but that didn't make any difference, now they want to try another part, seems like it is trial and error with these guys!)
#21
A quick google suggest that Samsung don't want to know when there is a problem and it took them a long time to acknowledge the design fault.
#22
Mine went wrong once, after the warranty has expired. Saying that Samsung offered to get it fixed for nothing (water supply not working anymore, a well-known fault with the Samsung American fridge). As a peace of mind I would take a 5 years warranty if possible. Except the fault it is a great fridge, kids and ourselves have been drinking much more water, as mentioned get the filters from Ebay, Samsung's ones are a rip-off (~£40 each).

Had mine over 2 years. Never missed a beat. Been excellent.
This is not the RH21 model!!! So dont think it has the problems that had.
