The ML-1665 comes with a 700 page starter cartridge. Toner and OPC drum are both integrated into the cartridge, so there's only one consumable to change. At £42, the 1,500 page MLT-D1042S replacement toner cartridges seem quite cheap, but are actually rather poor value - a page costs 2.8p to print, which is more expensive than most compact mono laser printers.

Refill kits are about £15 -so low running cost

Got a question regarding to the reset chip, is it only for single use???

Have had one of these beauts for about a year. Excellent price for a really fast printer. Have only used the standard toners, so can't answer them questions but anything else I will try.

Refills aren't good in my experience. Unless you can get a compatible new cartridge for less than £20, it's very expensive to run. (You can get compatible cartridges for most other Samsung laser printers for around £20 for 2000 pages).

I got one of these when it was about £50, needs a new toner, gonna cost about £70 for a 'real' one.

So bought Kodak Wireless colour printer/scanner for £60 instead.

I'm going the opposite direction. Doubt either of us will end up happy.

I'm always happy,

I'm just happy and have a laser printer with no toner lol.
