Think he's missed out the delivery and VAT?

I think he's referring to the £10 discount currently being offered if you use Google's new payment service.
#7
As OBH6UK says, VAT & del is missing.

The price in OP is the correct one.

Indepth review here:
http://reviews.cnet.com/Samsung_ML_2010/4505-3159_7-31408217.html

Overview:
The good: Fast; inexpensive; good-quality text; easy to set up and use; PC, Mac, and Linux compatible.

The bad: Small paper capacity; mediocre graphics quality; doesn't include USB cable.

7/10

Very cheap for a laser printer I have to say!.

Really good price, thanks edi
#10
How many pages of text can it do on one toner? Also, I've noticed that a replacement toner http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/123031 costs more than the printer and the toner it comes with!
#11
We use a Samsung laser printer at work, which looks like the same model as this one and it's superb. It's definitely as good as the competition, if not better and superior (IMHO) to Lexmark.
#12
Voted Hot. I have two of these and they are cheap as chips to refill.
#13
Can I just point people in the direction of these toner powder refills:

http://www.consumablecafe.co.uk/acatalog/SAMSUNG_BOTTLED_TONER.html

You can refill the printer for less than a tenner and it'll do another 3000 pages!

I have been doing this with my Samsung 1510.
#14
I always get my toner off Ebay and can see that you can get 2 cartridges for this for just over a tenner there.
#15
Why has this been marked as expired?

1600 in stock
#16
btw..has anyone noticed the 'AMAZING' bundle deal at the bottom of that page

You can save yourself 59p :-D

Anyone know the size of these? I haven't seen a laser printer for years! And they were huge back then!
#19
hi would anyone know if this is compatable with vista ie can you get the drivers
#20
I've had the ML4500 now for about 2 years (its the older version of this - looks virtually identical from the picture). Its superb - never jams, prints forever on one refill (I always buy toner refills from Ebay), and is about 35cm x30cm (very approx!). Mine cost £60 back then, and even that was a bargain! Snap these ones up quick!!!!

i brought one last week....yes works with vista okay....prints around 1 page every 4 secs...the toner you get with it has done me about 1000 pages....personally ive brought a toner refill pack and a new 3000 capacity toner to try both out.....the only downfall with this printer in my opinion is the lack of any spooler software so you cant see how many pages etc are left...nor can you cancel one job out of many...u basically have to turn the printer off! apart from that excellent

Two cartridges for a tenner or two powder refills?

Oops, on closer inspection it looks like 2 powder refills with instructions. Probably do the job well though.

Sorry but the reviews are BS (too critical for the price point). I compared the HP line of lasers with Samsung, and surprisingly Samsung came out better. I have owned a few Samsung models since and wouldn't switch back to HP. ;) Far cheaper and far superior. A true case that opposes the common "what you pay is what you get" theory.
#27
I ordered on friday, but might cancel and reorder 2moro if they reinstate the free shipping. Maybe everyone should hang on till tommorrow.
Read in a thread somewhere you can log into your ebuyer account and perform all the normal actions from there on the google order.

I've never had a laser printer at home before. How easy are the toner cartridges to refill?

Also, is anyone using one of these on an Intel Mac? Are the drivers Universal?
#29
Ordered one arrived installed easily (5mins) great small footprint on desk... but it its noisy, but for the price there had to be some drawback. Have to say I did scare myself at 3am when I went to print something and as usually it took about 15 seconds to tranfer to print then this noise came from nowhere......... seeing as I had forgotten I hadsomething to print... what a momment..:giggle:

I took the plunge with this, after promising not to buy anything else this month!!!

Anyways, you can't go wrong with this laser printer, the quality of print is as good as the lasers printers at work and the speed of it is much better than the one at work!

The printer looks and feels solid with a footprint no bigger than my ex-inkjet. It doesn't look like cheap or nasty plastic either, good quality plastic i would say (god I must be middle aged, who would of thought years ago I would come out with the phrase 'mmm good quality plastic that mate!)

Yes it is noisy but very quick as opposed to my late inkjet which was less noisy, (but still noisy enough), and for much longer, back and forth left and right thud thud thud thud.

Can't comment on the life of the toner but I'm sure it's going to last for longer than my ex ink cartridges, maybe I won't fret now when my daughter say she need to print something and half the cartridge is gone by the time she's done!!!! I'm waffling sorry!

Time for bed, so.. in the words of Hugh Grant i think....
'in short and to..... em....sum up in a much more.......em...... concise version'

Well worth the money :) night night!
#31
cracking printer, i snapped one up on ebay for about 45-50 a few months ago.....for just under 40 or 30 with google checkout its phenomenal value
#32
Ordered one, should be a good replacement for my rubbish inkjet: there's always something wrong with it!!!
#33
Monochrome = B&W Printer yes ?
#34
yes, mono meaning one, chrome meaning colour. Actually it means "black only" cuz it doesn't print white :)

sorry :)

Well worth it mate, you'll not be disapointed
#36
Tempted as its a really good price, and should be easy to refill yourself right?

But although 99.9% of what i print is black and white i dont know what to do about the other 0.1% maybe stack my old printer on top of it! hmmm
