both of those are clearance, ex demo. used stock and never heard of retailer, stick with amazon. im not voting yet as i dont know much about this particular netbook.

its a good solid netbook, but as much as a good deal this is im more inclined to buy a N110, i jsut havent found a good enough deal on it yet, although pcworld did just drop there instore price form £350 to £330, i feel like cheekily going in for a haggle with the manager, since DSGi are blatently sinking and could do witht he sale, therefore i can either drop a bit off price or try and grab a few freebies :D

What makes you say they are sinking?
#6
well not sinking, but like most businesses they are struggling to stay well above the water...and thus they are usually willing to sweeten deals if you willing enough to haggle a bit, plus paying in cash and using the warranty trick usually helps alot :D
#7
is a 12inch screen really a netbook
#8
thats liek the largest netbook yeh, and this isnt 12" though its 10.1"

whats the difference between this and the nc10. is the price difference justified?

N120 is slightly bigger, with a 97% size keyboard, I believe the battery life is a bit improved as well, and the audio system is far better (built-in subwoofer). The NC10 has also been replaced by the N110 (see PCWorld for best deals, I think) which has the same spec as the NC10 but with a much improved battery (quoted at 9hrs) an a couple of other minor tweaks

whatsThePoint
LOL cheap to build and people will say its wonderful to save face after wasting their money on one, thats how the prices are justified, you only have to look at these and ipods to see who ever said "you can't fool almost all the people all the time" was wrong

It's true you can get cheaper netbooks with a higher spec, but my own opinion is that the Samsung ones (NC10, N110 and N120) have better build quality and overall design than the Asus and Dell's etc, so it's up to you what's more important, quality of the overall product or cost. I use my laptop a lot, so for me the extra cost is well worth it; but then again, I also have an iPod and a Mac, so to some I'll just be a gullible fool...

In this case, we actually went for the N110, as the larger keyboard and improved sound weren't as important as the extra battery life, but depends what you're using it for

quality products have premium prices, simple as that. you pay for better specs, and in the N110 terms, its a 9hr battery without minimising all aspects of use. and the n120 subwoofer, is barely great, it still lacks quality sound, just like all netbooks, the subwoofer adds very minimal and i can personally vouch for that
#15
netbooks have to use cheaper variants, but samsung build quality is better than most. you cant expect some quad core cpu inside a 10" netbook can you...
#16
i think you fail to understand the whole concept of a netbook, thats around 10"....show me a laptop which your standard CPU/GPU etc etc at the size of netbook, and ill be impressed, of course yes here are ultra slim and portable laptops with dual core processors around the 11-12" mark, but they will cost around £600-800+

as for food, do you buy the hgue masses of sh!t quality china made food from the supermarket, or buy the decent standard british made food? im sure you choose the quality stuff even if ti means you get half the amount
#17
lol asus are most likely made in china also...

anyway yesterday went out and about the N110, love it to bits now :) only hitch i found was the smudge magnet outside cover, but it beats having the smudge magnet on the high glossy/glassy surfaces on the inside screen like some netbooks anyway
