what does the 12 month argos warrantly cover? If you have any problems with it can you just take it back to any argos store?

Their terms are on their Ebay shop's homepage. http://****.co.uk/Clearance-Bargains

"Faulty products - after 35 days

* Should an item become faulty after 35 days of purchase but within the stated warranty period, we will, at our discretion, offer a repair or a full or partial cost of item refund, after receipt of the returned item and verification of the fault.
* Please contact us via our FAQ page and select "My item has developed a fault within the guarantee period".
* An advisor will reply detailing the appropriate process to resolve your issue."

So, no, you can't return it to an Argos store, you phone the helpline just like you would with a Dell and get a returns authorisation

The description doesn't mention a 6 cell battery - they make an optimistic claim for 6 hours use. Thread title should be changed by a mod.

Repairs are dealt with by a company called D&J Henry in Coventry - who from my experience are very good. You get 7 days to change your mind aswell.

good but would rather pick up one with a newer gen atom processor which should improve the battery life considerably

To my knowledge Argos never sold netbooks with 6-cell batteries. It's 3 hrs life then (descriptions at Argos/ebay are often wrong, e.g. "dedicated graphics card" when it's an integrated card, etc).
Still a good price. People spend up to £250 on these elswhere.

Pointless...better off upgrading the battery on this one and the ram = much better overall......

cracking little netbook, i am on it writing this , batter will last 5-6 hours on lowest settings otherwise 3-4 on full speed...i upgraded memory to 2gb easy to do and cost £30.. i run microsoft office and other stuff and runs smoothly,i paid 230 from amazon last xmas...this would make a cracking little pressie.. the only downside is the speaker sound is pretty rubbish..

If this is the same model as Amazon NP-N130-KA05UK, who advertise 6 hours, I think this is a 6 cell with a 4000mah rating......."Battery: 6 Cell Lithium ion 4000 mAh, up to 6 hrs life"
#13
Nobody seems to have mentioned that this is refurbished!

Its a good netbook, we have three in our family and they are really good. I agree that the battery is around 3 hours, which is not too bad. The only doublt I would have is that it is refurbished and for around £40-50 more you can get a brand new one.

Argos have sold black N130's for £149.99 + postage through their eBay outlet store recently, which I think are the same spec, so in comparison this doesn't seem so hot.

A work colleague bought one of these for his missus. Came boxed and as new. She's very happy. The colour suits some but not others of course. And a £50 saving over brand new is a £50 saving however you look at it.

Do argos ebay outlet stock come boxed, as if they are new ?

thanks

Yes, pot luck as to the condition though

thanks

They have 13 of the black ones available at the moment for £153.98 if you are quick.
I bought one last time & it is fantastic.
Was advertised as up to 3 hours battery but I easily get 4+ with normal settings, wifi on
