How does this compare to the MSI WIND U100 Plus?

I purchased it last week from Maplin but I'm having overheating problems so will be sending it off to get it repaired, however if this is better deal, then I'll just return it to maplin for a refund

Well just looking at the specs the Wind has a 1.3mp webcam as opposed to 0.3mp on this. The Wind also has bluetooth (N130 not) and is Hackintoshible (not sure about the N130). I suspect the N130 will have a better laid out keyboard. Wind has 2 year warranty and you are dealing with Maplin (online and real shop) instead of Argos Clearance (online only).

I am having one of my Wind collected for return and considered returning it for refund but I quite like it and the customer services seems to be good with MSi... plus I can't see Maplin taking a return for a hard disk making a noise.

EDIT : Looking at reviews the N130 is silent whereas the fan can be heard on the Wind. But the N130 only has one speaker (though the 2 are not great on the Wind) and has no carry case.

#19
I bought one of these but via the Argos eBay shop - I think it is a great little netbook and I shall be taking it on my hols - much lighter than my laptop! :)
#20
These were 154 @ argos clearance but you didn't get the 6 cell battery
#21
This item shows as pink in daily deals until you click the link. Am I missing colour in description? Wouldnt want to get my son a pink one!

for me this is a far better deal. i ordered this am. :)

it's taken all day to get hot given the 'add heat' button doesn't work for toffee 9/10 times.

I got one for £154 @ argos clearance and it came with the 4000maH 6 cell battery, same as this one.
#24

#25
Have many people ordered? i was going to but dont have enough in paypal so gonna wait untiol funds clear
#26
Its open box, no thanks besides already got the Wind U100 PLUS
#27
The missus has one of these, great little runner for what she does at Uni!
#28
12 months warranty and claims unused. Problems? Send it back. Ebuyer are spot on for this anyway. Still a good saving.

Didn't see the argos clearance ones - posted on HUKD? Oh well, 15 quid more from Ebuyer is fine with me tbh - been faffing looking for ages and not sure my back will ever recover from lugging my 16" laptop round Italy :)
#29
hot! ordered one as i needed a new netbook due to screen cracking on last1
#30
awesome
#31
awesome. been looking at the N150 for awhile. but it's kinda expensive. anyone knows how much the N450 processor is better than the one on N130??? thx
#32
Misdescribed straight away surely?

"Your photos & video will look fantastic on the bright widescreen LED with HD audio."
#33
Hot! Ordered.
#34
I've got this exact model and have to say it's spot on. It's portability reliability and battery life are excellent.

Only real downside is the poor sound and volume on the integrated speakers.

Best £200 I've spent.

so because a box has been opened yuowouldnt buy it even though it is a considerable saving? they prob had a batch where they forgot to put something in so had to open boxes to find out if these ones contained the missing item as they state never used so its not a return or anything like that

I recently got a HotUKDeal on an Asus 1005P netbook from Argos (which has the N450 processor).
The 6 cell battery easily lasts 10 hours on a full charge which makes my unit truly portable.
I previously had a first generation Samsung NC10.
#38
ordered this when it was this price last time. great little netbook.
#39
seriously tempting. Netbooks currently are overpriced with contemporary technology (not making much difference), doing-away with the original idea that netbooks are supposed to be affordable.

Oh a side note, is there a dual atom-core processor on the horizon?
#40
i thinking whether to get one of these or go to ebay to bid a used thinkpad x60 or x61(if i got lucky) . any thoughts? i had a Eee pc 900 before. it's ok for web browsing but not really if u wanna do a bunch of other things at one time. wondering if this is way better than the Eee 900
