Exactly the same as this old HOT deal, but now £10 cheaper.
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/594506/samsung-n130-netbook-open-box-expan

Excellent Samsung netbook, for a bargain price. Yes, the box has been opened, but it's still being sold 'as new' so can't see the drama unless you fancy paying another £50 for a brand new one at £225/£230 which is the cheapest I can find (Amazon/Ebuyer).

XP installed, which is spot on for a 1gb netbook. 6 cell battery. It's all good.

Just ordered mine, so will post back in a few days when it arrives...

Does anyone know the main differnces between the NC10 and NC30.

Have been looking for a netbook for a while but not sure on which one i only need it for internet and office realy.
If anyone could let me know of some decent ones on the £200 mark or less.

Horrible Plasticy laptops
Wouldn't touch one of these ever again.
Last one I got had a faulty screen.

Get yourself a Dell or a Sony, much better build quality
#10
any codes for free p&p

looks like a good deal, head + rep
#12
Good price, good machine - prefer Dell myself but a good deal :-)
#13
I think this is a slightly trimmed down version of the NC10 but still a good deal.

Argos Clearance on eBay normally have them about this price too.
#14
Are these literally for surfing the Internet or could I also do simple word documents and have iTunes running etc? Thanks
#15
is this the better battery ? its six cell. Gluke21 how long does the battery last if you were to watch a film or play a game ?

Have had an N140 for a few months now which is identical apart from the bluetooth.
Great solid netbook with no problems whatsoever.
Far better than the flimsy Acer i had and also the Dell netbook i had previous to that with a terrible unresponsive touchpad.

The N130 is not a horribly plasticy laptop.
It is sturdy and well built. You are obviously narked that
you got a faulty one which, of course, could NEVER happen
with a Dell or Sony, could it

I used an NC10 every day for a year or so - word/excel documents, itunes, Windows Media Player, MSN, internet, utorrent, "older" games (red alert, sim city 3000, risk, ceaser 3 - the only games you ever need:-D) and it managed them all perfectly, often had several programs running at the same time too, although did have 2GB of RAM.

At the time the screen resolution didn't bother me, but now having gone back to a 12" (x)x768 its the only real negative I have against these sort of machines.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I've been looking for ages fr a good price laptop, but I loath to pay too much when I only use office and Internet. I'm sold, and this have been ordered, rep added, thanks again.
#20
Ok i've been searching for about an hour now.

Can anyone tell me what warranty you get with this "b-stock" netbook? And where your getting your information from?

Thanks
#21
Hi mate, it says in the description. Warranty: 12 months collect and return included. Hope this helps.

Excellent deal, my friend has this in white and he absolutely loves it.

Personally I prefer the Aspire One but this is still a good deal for anyone looking for a Samsung netbook.

check here,

Ive got this netbook, great bit of kit using it now. Ive upgraded the ram to 2gb and installed win 7 ultimate, boots in 30 secs, runs apps fine. Office, photoshop etc.
I use it for internet mainly. Only slight differences between this and nc10, no bluetooth etc but its all good.
recommend, HOT

This machine is on my current short-list and I'm curious into why this offer seems to be hotter than the recent Argos offerings? I can see it's loaded with XP instead of Win7 Starter, which makes it more appealing to me. Other than that, any other reasons?

What are Expansys like as a company to deal with? I can't find anything to explain what B-Stock actually means. Are these definately new machines with opened boxes? It says boxed "as new", but this could be interpreted a number of ways. My own understanding of B-Stock is that they are generally returns, ex-demo machines and such-like, which are not new.

I'm wavering on an MSI U100, which can be easily overclocked close to 2Ghz, and cheaply upgraded to 2GB RAM - but which has only a 3 cell battery (not a huge drawback, but a drawback nonetheless).
#28
So is this a refurbished/reconditioned netbook? What exactly is "open box" ?
#29
Very much tempted by this deal but I see Tesco have an Emachines eM250 Netbook brand new for only £20 more (£10 more if you use the vouchers available)
The specs look the same, could anyone tell me if there are any real differences apart from the brand?

Some differences i've found: EMachines has 3 cell battery

"Open Box" means that once the manufacturer's seal is broken anything could have happened to the contents. Issues could be as little as user having turned it on and found it too slow to having changed the BIOS etc.. However a better company would employ a test engineer and check for issues. A 12 month guarantee from a good supplier should allay any doubts.

is there any way to make the shipping free?

still can't see why these are still so expensive. Would have thought these would have come down to around £150 after the market was flooded ages ago

Same here. Went in Currys this afternoon to see this model for myself before buying online, there must have been 20 netbooks in there! (it was a megastore) most of them had similar specs, very confusing.

The Samsung I saw today felt very plastic, it was indeed light but added to the plasticy feel it didn't seem like £250 worth of gear, The curved effect also made it hard to get open.
