Decent price for a DUAL CORE processor netbook from a good manufacturer. 6 cell battery.

On the down side, Windows 7 starter edition, lots of bloatware and pretty standard specification for a netbook (other than dual core).

Intel Atom Dual Core N550 1.5GHz
1GB RAM
250GB HDD
10.1" LED Non-Gloss
Up to 10 Hours Battery Life
Webcam
Windows 7 Starter

Good price for this spec, as is 250GB and Dual core processor, good (quoted) battery life too

Tricky one.... I voted hot anyway :)

For a netbook with this spec, this is a good price. But that price isn't particularly good for what you are getting.... as although it's dual core, it doesn't offer that much of a performance boost as you might think. And although now expired, the ferrari deal was this price, and it brought a whole lot more!

William J1, is there not a substantial improvement between a N450 and a N550?

I got an N450 and I have always wanted to upgrade to a dual core N550. I just use my netbook to surf the net.

Will I be able to see a big improvement or a very slight increase in speed and not worth the extra spend?

acer ferrari one was £175 less quidco and tesco points for me in the end as got 48.98 refund for missing dvdrw and the acer has a bigger screen, faster processor, better graphics, looks nicer, more ram which is easily upgradeable too, has windows home 64 bit too whichis pretty impressive for a netbook

You're better off with the above mentioned Acer Ferrari or the HP Compaq Mini 311c which has a slight edge in the gaming department but only a single core. You can pick the Mini 311c up for around £250 if you're lucky.
