I don't have to list the specification do I? Surely we all know what this is by now...

Listed as "In Stock" at the time of writing; company seems to be reputable based on earlier deals.

4% Tc (topcashback)

I don't think they deliver goods outside the mainland.

Was going to wait till after Christmas for a deal seeing as the going rate for this is now touching £330 !
Too good an opportunity to miss at this price - I wanted black anyways (to match the 'mark' I got from the wife when I explained that I wanted to buy this ! ) :santa: sorted...

cheers OP ;-)

http://www.trustedreviews.com/notebooks/review/2008/11/17/Samsung-NC10---10-2in-Netbook/p1

This is arguably the best netbook you can buy right now, if I didnt have a normal laptop i would buy one of these today

nice price too

Indeed showing as out of stock now, I'll expire the deal to avoid disappointment. It might let you order regardless I'm not sure, if so you can always contact them in the morning to see if they're getting more stock in.

#18
HOT Deal am tempted, but the Aspire One 3G 1.6/1GB/160GB/6 Cell just about to be released

Glad I didn't hesitate with this one - I would have been kicking myself. Cheers again for posting this sweet deal !. :w00t:

Even though I ordered when "Instock" it was actually out of stock.
#21
I cancelled and ordered the Asus EEE PC 1000H Atom 1.6GHz 1024MB 160GB 10 inch LCD XP from oyyy.co.uk for £287.49
#22
Did they get in touch? The EEE is a good alternative :).

No I rang them as it was showing out of stock and my order had not been confirmed.
#24
Hmm,

My order was confirmed, accepted and I received an e-mail confirming delivery within a few days.

quote
Your order for the items below has been approved and will be delivered to the
shipping address below.

THEN - i got an e-mail this morning asking me to contact them urgently due to a query with my credit card. Query was - how long have a been resident at my address. Answer is 12 years !

Then I was told that due to this 'delay' the NC10 is now out of stock - sorry ! :x

I have complained bitterly and refused the refund stating that I want the product that I have been charged for but I have to say it sounds like tactics to avoid the sale. Maybe I'm just suspicious but it was an excellent deal, prices are rising and no-one else has ever had any queries on the use of my credit card. They're going to phone me tomorrow but didn't take (check) my tel number. I suspect foul play.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR :x

Thought it was too good to be true this close to Christmas. Everyone elses confirmed or any other problems ?

I know it's all subjective - but how does this compare to the samsung ? I'd convinced myself that samsung was the way to go, but.. hey ho.:?

def want XP, sizeable storage, atom processor and long battery life - oh and gotta look cool too (black is nice) because I'm really shallow...:whistling:

If my bennetts samsung falls though - i'd say 99.99999% likely - then maybe I should wait for the january sales. maybe I'll get a new suite....:w00t:

to be honest i aint too sure, the eepc ticks all the boxs for me, however the way i look at it is this, they are the same spec (or there abouts) but asus started all the netbook craze in the first place, this is there umpteenth model , and the support and cimmunity out there for the eepc , whichever flavour is massive, couple with the fact that at somepoint in the future you may need to get spare parts for it, more popular > more availible > less price.

thats the way i`m looking at it.

:D

plus i like modding, so for me making it do more stuff than its supposed to (internal 3g etc etc) is the way forward :

Whilst the EEE and Acer One's may be coming up cheaper - NC10s have some serious advantages people should consider...

The keyboard is near full-laptop sized - better than the Acer and LEAGUES better than the EEE's flexi-mini-board disaster...

The battery life on NC10s is better than ANY other netbook too - a proper 6+ hours - this is a really nice thing :)

p.s. on the 'spare parts' front (post above) - dream on. These are all devices made by Asian companies who've never heard of the idea of 'spare parts' - instead I'd look at build quality and see that it's not something Acer and Asus have been amazingly lauded for in the past - but Samsung have a pretty good rep with their laptops...

i was actually talking more about used spare parts, ala e-bay! scavenged from broken systems or systems broken for spares.

certainly nothing to get hoity toity about, twas just a comment, not being fannyboyish or anything, just offering an opinion.
take it or leave it

The Asus EEE PC 1000H Atom 1.6GHz 1024MB 160GB is a new model and has a larger 6 cell battery on a par with the NC10 which hopefully will not fail like my NC10 battery.
#31
Just rang Bennets again. It appears they had taken the money despite the NC10 not being in stock but are now refunding and finally the order is showing cancelled.
#32
I'd not heard anything from Bennetts and therefore rang them to check on status. They said they had taken more orders than they had stock. They asked me if I wanted to cancel as they were waiting for a response from Samsung on their next delivery. Looks like this is a dead duck!
#33
Despite being told my card had been refunded and the order was showing cancelled on the web I have just received an email telling me my order has been despatched. If I do not want it to refuse delivery and they will refund once received back.
Avoid this company like the plague. They do not know what they are doing.

At the moment I agree - twice they have told me it's being dispatched and twice they have told me that it is not. Also phoned me again asking to clarify bank details (see previous) :x

I'm going to ride this one though I don't hold any hope of receipt. No 'dis' intended to OP - this is a great deal if it's pulled off - so again thx for posting.
#35
I rang the couriers and asked them not attempt delivery as I will refuse to accept it and to return the package to Bennetts.
I have already bought an Asus 1000 H from elsewhere.

I strongly suspect that it has not been dispatched, really. :?

If it does - ricochet it off to me in Livingston  lol

I really want this item (for that price) but I am almost positive it will not arrive and if it does, in the (unlikely.... granted) event that it is faulty, I question the efficiency of their after sales. I keep receiving conflicting information from them.

Still, whooooaaaa ehh ? ( showing my age & recent beer intake)

So we're all in agreement then. :-D

Actually if choice was so clear cut, we'd all be driving mondeos/vectras/beemers (delete or amend as appropriate :) ) without exception. ..or buying samsungs..

I like to hear other peeps opinions with reasoning so I can 'cut & paste' then form my own so thanks for posting guys.

I don't know what to say............... shocking customer service - I won't be recommending them again in a hurry that's for sure.

Here's hoping for a decent outcome!

in the (unlikely.... granted) event that it is faulty,

I had to smile at this comment. I have just returned an NC10 to play.com for a refund due to battery failure in less than 5 days from receiving it.

Maybe I should go for an ASUS and get a tin of gloss spray from halfords.
