i guess at this price it would be the 3 cell, still a decent price though:)
#3
be fantastic deal if it was a 6 cell . still great price for 3 cell nc10

I paid £297 for my daughters last August and she loves it, upgraded ram and added external cd rewriter would buy one for myself at this price.
#5
this is a good price for the NC10 if it has the 6cell. Is the only way to tell by the weight?
heat added

i was just about to post this, good job i did a search first

also want to know if 3 cell or 6 before i jump the ship to buy....

There are other sub £200 price deals around for this now as it is old hat. The Atom processor has been superceded and any of these left on the shelves are being reduced all the time as nobody wants them anymore.
A decent enough netbook, at a decent price but not deal busting. It's the common price throughout for this now old machine.

...looks like its out of stock, guys!

Superceded by which processor? I'm pretty sure most netbooks use the Atom 1.6. ARM processors aren't (as far as I am aware) not in common use...yet.

Edit: Removed the dixons part - wrong model.

I actually ordered one from Ebay 2 days ago, via the Argos Clearance seller. £165 inc delivery for a refurbed model, it arrived yesterday and looked brand new apart from a slightly worn outer box. Item no 330408171258 if anyone was interested

Why is this expired? Still shows as In Stock...

EDIT: Damn, now "Out of stock" when you try and checkout. That'll teach me for closing my session and try and get it via Quidco first!

Relax. ;-) It's a 3-cell model with up to 4 hours battery life.

Yea i know...although can get a 6 cell battery for it on ebay for £20-£30..so would still work out pretty cheap!

How do you know its a 6 cell? Cant see full specs..

Looks good price if it is..although another £4 for delivery..and says deliveries take 10-14 days?! And never used that site before or heard of it..have you used it before?

I bought a Samsung NC10 about a month ago for £188 delivered from Halfcost. Delivery was about slow and took over a week to get it. It is a 6 cell battery. Looked Brand new and couldn't tell it was a refurb.

It doesn't state its a 6 cell but I thought if it wasn't I would just return it wthin 7 days. Fortunately I didn't have to.

I should have been more specific, not the Atom per se, but the N270 which was replaced by the N450 last year, and became widely available here in the UK from January this year. Shops are desperate to shift any and all N270's, and the prices are tumbling as a result. That's why Asda bought them up. There is nothing new about this processor, it is old and slow compared to the Pine Trail series now released.

Not too much difference according to PassMark...

*PassMark measures a CPU's speed and overall performance in rendering Mathematical operations, compression, encryption, SSE and 3DNow! instructions, among others.

The halfcost one is out of stock now. Teh ebay one sounds a good deal thought with plenty in stock
#24
I wouldn't buy anything costing over a fiver on ebay :)

It might be a slower cpu. But you hardly buy a netbook for rendering do you. The NC10 does today exactly what it did last year, which for most people should be enough until there are drastic changes in software.

Screen size 10.2 inch ?
Thought they changed to 10.1 inch screens a few months ago on this model,

I have spent £1000s on eBay from 1p to £3000 and never had any problems. I have had lots of really good deals so you are talking rubbish. Yes I think the eBay deal for this item is a good deal as well and I would buy one no problem at all if I needed one.

I paid £207 for the 6 cell.

My friend wants one, so looking for another - but wouldn't pay this for a 3 cell.

From weight though - looks like 6 cell.

i have one for sale...

6 cell....brand new boxed and still sealed....:p
#30
3 more in stock at Halfcost, I just bought one cheers.
#31
So have we found out if the one from Asda is 6 or 3 cell?
#32
All 400 sold out now on Argos Clearance and at Halfcost.
#33
received mine from Halfcost, is a 6 cell and in excellent condition with all the plastic coverings too. An excellent deal indeed.
