Some info on the new 64bit processor

http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/processors/nano/

When it comes to a sheer performance comparison, the VIA Nano rules and the Intel Atom drools. The Nano is simply superior in so many ways when side-by-side with Intel Atom, but that is more from our “power geek” perspective. From our experiences here, the VIA Nano looks to be much better choice than the Intel Atom in the “mini-note” or notebook market.

Maybe you should take the 3G out the title as this netbook doesnt have built in 3g mobile BB, its the new NC10 that has that.

Your post will mislead people

BT Shop is Dabs.com = no customer support, no telephone support, just emails with replies after 5 days, if you are lucky. Would never touch them again.

Yes that appears to be right, seems odd though. You would have thought that they both would have HSDPA support.

In case anyone else is interested, like I am, the screen resolution will be 1280 x 800. Much better than 10inches at 1024 x 600, which is the same resolution that 8.9inch screens have

hi

this is from the same article

"We have a 1.8GHz VIA Nano processor, 1GB DDR2 5-5-5-15-2T, PT890 NB / VT8251 SB."

seems like they were using a 1.8Ghz VIA Nano processor and not the one that is on the above Netbook

Is this a netbook or a laptop?

The specs sound poor compared to my MSI Wind netbook for nearly half the price, so can someone explain what i'm missing (genuine question before someone kicks off)...

Never mind that, where can you get an MSi Wind for half of £390?

I did say "nearly"

My Advent 4211 (aka MSI Wind) cost £200 refurbished from PC World....

refurbished from PC World....

I think the key word here is "refurbished"...

Oh, and there also the fact that the NC20 has a 12.1" Screen (not 10.1"), full size keyboard, 6 cell battery (not 3 cell), 160Gb hard drive (not 80Gb), and VIA Nano U225 processor (not Atom)... it's just in a differnt class...
