Considering this was reviewed at the $305 which is £150 i would say that is more of a recommended conclusion considering this price.

Basic fascia/design? Yes, better quality than most sub £100 cameras,? Looks like it:

Higher pixels don't really mean better pics.. but a proper digi camera from the likes of Canon, Nikon, Fuju or Sony.

Considering 12mp and 14mp soon compact cameras are appearing this isn't particularly high.

5mp/6mp being the norm in compact sales has long gone.

As was said this was £200, so the quality at 7mp is quite good imo.

Dont quite get what you are saying, more megapixels dont make better pictures, in fact it can have the opposite effect if the ccd's are small, the pictures can be alot worse on high mp cameras,

My point was, 7mp is not high compared to what is out now, and this was a quality camera when 7mp WAS high and still is, odd design apart, and with that review and this new price, it's good value IMO.

It's only £5 more on Amazon. Reviews on Amazon suggests it suffers from noise.

No problem. Buy some earplugs with the money you save.

Out of stock now.

I think this is a great price though, I was just about to buy on Amazon for £100, might have to get it for £80 there now. It looks far better than any other camera available for the price, because of:

7x optical zoom

Optical image stabilisation

Semi-pro options fiddles

Very easy to use control system

I really love the retro look of it

High quality video mode
Looks like a buy from me!
