Just saw this in Jessops Samsung NX1000 Plus free Galaxy 2 7" Tab with £50 cashback takes price down to £349.99 (after cashback from samsung) or £399.99 if you want the twin lens kit. By comparison Amazon are selling the camera alone for £399.
I have ordered same camera from parkcamera earlier but turnout they don't have anything in stock.

Plus you can double up your Tesco points for Jessops vouchers.

5% off - 5OFFTRIPOD credit topcat111 (not sure if this is still working I haven't used this) i.e. £20

plus 2% quidco £8

so total cost of camera plus tab2 £321

I have bought one earlier today.. Enjoy

Do you have a link to where I can get the twin lens kit version for 399? Seems a decent deal at that price but I can only see it for 469 after the cash back.

I have been looking at these and still hunting for the best price - this is hot in my opinion for the price.

Isn't this just a fake Sony NEX3/5?

And samsung cameras are not very good at taking pics, only good for bling value..
ukbondraider#4
Amazon and every other camera dealer has this same offer.

In fact Jessops was more expensive until today and are now matching the other retailers at £399.

The twin lens kit is £499 or £450 after cashback (at Amazon).
This single lens is £399 or £350 after cashback.

Your info on the twin lens kit is wrong

Wrong. Their Point and Shoot Camera's are good on paper, but IQ not that good compared to their nearest competitor. Their NX series are quite good, because of their large sensors. Unfortunately, their processors aren't that great. But that's why they are priced somewhat cheaper than the competition. Their lenses are also very competitive.

The NX1000 is missing an inbuilt flash and inbody OIS.

which of their direct competitors has inbody ois?
nex has it on lens doesn't it?
this kit has none on lens so i assume for mr shaky hands like me it'd be a bit useless.

well i can't see this twin lens kit at mentioned price, and as jessops don't sell tablets you have to fill in a claim form (online or mail) 10 days after purchase to get the tablet which is an annoyance, as opposed to amazon who seem to just ship with them.

out of stock at the mo (can collect from store), voucher is invalid - for tripods, and quidco seller reviews suggest jessops is a bit shoddy for giving cashback - all in all i'd rather get it from amazon.

edit - just noticed the jessops vouchers in clubcard exchange comment, that could shift things in favor of jessops, though they have closed a lot of stores recently which worries me regarding returns/service

That's wrong. Actually, Jessops has the the tablets in stock in stores, you get them the same time if you buy (or collect) at store.

If you want picture quality then the Galaxy Camera does not compete with the NX1000.

The galaxy camera is on par with the £100 WB150 point and shoot camera (the rest of the money is paying for the android system).

The NX1000 is on par with a DSLR. Bear in mind also that the NX1000 has the same important components as its more expensive brother the NX210 except for the fact it is made of plastic instead of metal. The NX210 is £700. Therefore it could be argued that the NX1000 is really competing IQ wise with £700 cameras.

In short the galaxy camera is not even worth comparing to this.

I'd say the if you've played with the Pen series you'll definitely miss it. Not so much on the Sony's. But it would have been nice to have this on the kit lense.

For shaky hands, I'm afraid it's upping the ISO and keeping the hands as still as poss. The longer 200mm lense has O,I,S though.

jessops sites banner does actually mention tab is shipped with camera now i look again, when i first clicked it it took me to a redemption form (probably for cashback). still too many negatives for me to buy from jessops but the deal seems great, looked for a safer retailer with quidco or accessories but amazon seem the best place to buy it.

deal seems expired anyway - site now showing £429/519 and still out of stock.

Sorry but there are no tablets available from Jessops since Monday and if you try at moment to add one to your basket it only adds the camera - excluding tablet. Was told by Jessops store they ran out on Monday no stock in country and head office has asked Samsung to send 5,000 to them and people who brought one may get one but depends on whose names on the list and what no - there is no guarantee you will get one.

Would have thought that Jessops would had look at how many NX1000, 200, etc in central warehouse and at their shops and ordered on day of the offer enough Nx Samsung Tablets to meet demand and ensuring each customer who brought one received one on sale.
onestoptravel#15
When I go to amazon mobile site there is no mention of the free tab offer, eve. When I go tO checkout it doesn't give option, can anyone advise please
thomas2279#16
Can only advise from my point of view Jessops had a piddy amount of tablets and said no guarantee getting one from them now - no news told me they haven't received the stock from Samsung.

Only recourse is to fill out the application form to Samsung and hope to get one from them.

To Onestoptravel - have you emailed Amazon Customer support - perhaps they ship them out or like me tell you to fill out an application form.

Go to their full site and there will be a box just under the price. It will say add tablet to cart. The tablet will be priced £300 but will change to zero upon checkout.

In that case why bother buying from Jessops. Just use amazon who will ship out tablet at the same time.
